My Summary
About Me
Hello, thank you for viewing my profile... **Graded Outstanding**.
My name is Jenny Haynes and I'm happily married to Tony. We have a Daughter called Charlotte, who was born in March 2010. We live in Abbots Langley, have a lovely playroom and a large child friendly garden.
I am registered with Ofsted. I was graded 'Outstanding' in my inspection in February 2022. I have had a CRB check (clear), completed the paediatric first aid course, and attended a Safeguarding course. I have also passed the CYPOP5 Level 3 course - 'Home-based childcare for childminders and nannies'.
Fun loving and committed, I have always loved spending time with children. I am reliable, honest, and dependable.
My aim is to bring children I care for, up in a homely, loving, well-mannered, friendly environment. I will work with you as a parent to be as consistent as I possibly can. I will do my best to accommodate any routines into my day to day activities.
We enjoy attending playgroups, playing with toys, reading stories, singing nursery rhymes, going to the park, and generally being outside. We love spending time in the company of other children and regularly go to play groups and meet up with other childminders. Above all, we just love to have fun!
After having my Daughter, I chose not to return to my previous occupation. I decided that I wanted to give my Daughter the best start I possibly could, especially in her early years. It has been the most rewarding time of my life and made me realise that I wanted to be there for other children, too.
I can drop off and collect from Abbots Langley Pre-school, Abbots Langley Nursery, and Abbots Langley School. I can also offer both the 30-hour and 15-hour funded places. I accept tax-free childcare and childcare vouchers, too.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Jenny

Jenny has been a wonderful, caring and consistent childminder for my boys since 2016. She provides a loving, nurturing home environment and has taught them both many skills. Both my boys adore Jenny and her family and I feel so lucky to have found her. If you’re looking for someone who is kind and nurturing, I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!
Jenny has looked after both of our children and we have always felt comfortable that they were in a lovely, friendly and safe environment.
Jenny is organised and works had to ensure the children have plenty of opportunities to play and learn in a variety of different environments. She always sends lots of photos so parents can see what their children have been doing and makes each child feel special.
Having Jenny as a childminder was more like having a family member look after our children. Having previously used a nursery setting before we found Jenny, I found that the children were much happier being with Jenny and she is great with all ages.
Jenny has been looking after our son for nearly four years, since he was one. She provides a caring, fun, educational, home atmosphere which we couldn’t be happier with. He loves attending her setting and has a really good relationship with her, as well as with all the other children and members of the household. It really does feel like an extended family atmosphere.
Activities:
Jenny arranges a wide variety of activities for the children, providing fun and educational opportunities, both indoors and outdoors. She does activities with the children covering a range of themes for different seasons and events. In her setting, he has enjoyed crafts, baking, games, learning about nature, stories, songs and actions, amongst lots more.
Learning:
Jenny finds ingenious ways to make learning fun. She ensures that the children use good manners e.g. please/thank you, asking to get down from the table etc. She has done lots of work with my little boy on his speech, counting, letters and writing. She teaches good interpersonal skills with other children e.g. sharing, taking turns when playing games and helping each other. She has provided lots of support as he has grown, e.g. with potty training, starting nursery, starting reception.
Communication and support:
Jenny is very approachable and strives to ensure consistency between her setting and home. This really helped when potty training, for example. She provides me with daily updates on what my little boy has been doing in her setting, including photos and notes, which is lovely and really helpful.
I would highly recommend Jenny as a caring, nurturing and fun childminder.
My children attend Jenny Haynes and I wish to endorse what a wonderful childminder she is and how much my children enjoy her setting and the activities they do together.
We have been using Jenny as a childminder since my children started school to provide wrap around care. She is such a support to myself as a working parent and I know while they are in her care they are well looked after, safe and having fun.
I am kept well informed on what the children have done with lots of pictures and update and this helps me feel connected to the care she is providing. She offers a range of activities for my children to do before and after school, which they love and I am often told her pasta dishes are a lot better then what I offer at home!
My Son is deaf and is currently being tested for dyslexia. Jenny is brilliant with him, and he is comfortable and confident in her care. If he is feeling a bit anxious about school, I have been able to discreetly share my worries and get reassurance he has arrived to school happy and ready for the day with further updates once he is picked up.
I would have no issue in recommending Jenny to other parents and believe she goes above and beyond to look after and support the children in her care.
Our eldest daughter spent a very happy couple of years with Jenny before she started primary school, so there was no doubt in our minds who we would like to care for our youngest. She has now been there for almost 3 years and looks forward to going every day. She knows that she will have fun while she is there and loves going on outings. She has made friends with the other children and has great fun playing with them.
We have noticed that she will continue at home with the things she has been learning that day, whether it is writing her name (her favourite thing at the moment), or her ‘maths homework’ as she likes to call it.
We look forward to the photos that are sent to us each day, showing what the children have been up to, where they have been and the things they have been learning. It gives us a real insight into the way that she spends her time during the day, and she is always smiling in them so she is obviously enjoying herself. Along with her learning journey, we can see how she has grown and developed in the time that she has spent with Jenny.
We couldn’t be happier with the level of care that she has received. We feel that being in such a positive and happy environment has helped her to develop her own personality and become the confident, outgoing little girl that she is. This shows from her point of view as well, as she genuinely misses Jenny when she is not there during the holidays, or for any other reason.
She often talks about Jenny and her family when she is at home - clearly she feels that they are among the most important people in her life, and that is a sentiment that is echoed by both of us.
She is starting nursery in September, and unfortunately this means that she will be leaving, although we hope that she will be able to come during the holidays where possible. We can’t thank Jenny enough for the time, effort and care that has been shown to both of our children over the past few years.
