My Summary
About Me
Hello my names Emily i am level 3 qualified in childcare and education, and also just re-newed my 12 hour paediatric first aid. I completed my qualifications at Aylesbury college in 2013 and worked full time in a nursery until 2017 for the first year i was in the preschool room gaining knowledge and experience and then moved in the baby room where the ages vary from 3 months to 2.5 years. After leaving the nursery I became a nanny for 5 children now aged 3,4,5,7,7. It has been the most rewarding but challenging experience looking after 5 but I wouldn’t of changed it, I sadly left at the end of August 2019 due to the youngest starting full time preschool.
My Experience
I have grown up in quite a large family i always had a baby around me as i was growing up and i always wanted to be involved! from the age of 13 i started babysitting for a local family with three young children and had the responsibility of feeding, bathing them and putting them to bed with having regular sleepovers.
i then decided that i was going to do childcare for a GCSE at school, which i completed in 2010, which then motivated me to do my level 2 childcare and education in 2010 at Aylesbury college, which i passed in 2011, which then inspired me to do my level 3 also at Aylesbury college i passed that course in 2013.
i then started working in a summer camp over the half terms and summer holidays where i was a supervisor for children from the ages of 5-15, throughout this job we went swimming, bowling, and various physical sports such as rounders, tennis, and a bouncy castle.
i then got a job in a nursery in the September 2013 and this is where i worked in a preschool room with children aged from 2.5 to 5 years and gained lots of experience and knowledge, after a year i moved to the baby room with ages from 3 months to 2.5 years, i have gained alot of knowledge from working with all ages in the nursery and am looking forward to expanding my knowledge in different areas of childcare.
January 2017 I have been a private nanny for 5 children, I follow the daily routine from breakfast, school and preschool drops offs, caring for the youngest throughout the day following her daily routine, after school preparing a nutritionally balanced diet for all the children. Sadly leaving in August 2019.
