Hello,
My name is Lisa and I am a registered childminder in Woodhall Farm, Hemel Hempstead.
I live with my partner, who is a fluent Welsh speaker and my two active sons, aged ten and twelve.
I offer a clean, safe and caring home from home environment. I provide lots of opportunities for learning both indoors and outside. I have a small secure, enclosed garden with outdoor toys.
I encourage both child initiated and free play and will seek to arrange activities that match the interests of children in my care.
I offer a very active setting with lots of fun activities. We are out and about most days either at various groups and play sessions, meeting other childminders or for nature walks, trips to the zoo and farm (I hold ZSL and farm membership), soft play, museums, parks, feeding the fish, splash parks in the nicer weather and much much more.
We follow on the learning from our activities or current themes at home including lots of arts and crafts.
I use a secure online system that enables parents to log on at anytime and view the daily photos and activities for their child as well as their individual learning journal.
I have a 8 seater car, ideal for visiting lots of exciting places!
I am registered with the Information Commissioner.
I am happy to accept childcare vouchers or payments through the government scheme.
I can offer funded spaces for 9 month olds, 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
I am able to offer ad hoc or short term contracts where availability allows.
Term time contacts are also available.
I am also available for some adhoc evening babysitting.
My Experience
I have been childminding since 2016.
I completed the 'Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare Award'.
I have an up to date paediatric first aid certificate and attend safeguarding training.
I regularly attend training courses to keep up to date with changes and to further my knowledge in child development.
My Qualifications
CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

Standard rate applies from 8am until 6pm Mon- Fri.
A higher rate will apply outside these hours including Weekends and Bank holidays.

Upon meeting Lisa for the first time, I was very keen to have her on board. Lisa's warmth & smile is infectious, and you can be confident you are leaving your little one in the safest pair of hands. Lisa has been caring for my son since he was 8 months old & his development amazes me daily, I can be certain this is down to Lisa’s interactive & fun learning style. Lisa takes the children out daily to various play groups, soft play, museums, the zoo, etc. Lisa’s home is well equipped with toys & activities to keep the children busy. Lisa also invests a lot of time & effort in recording the children’s development & progress, along with daily updates, pictures & commentaries.
Lisa is a credit to her profession- any parent would be lucky to have her!

Lisa is a fantastic childminder. Highly recommend. It took me ages to find someone that felt right and Lisa did . She has been looking after my son since he was 7 months old. He is always happy to see her and puts his arms out to greet her and gets excited. which makes me a happy mummy :). She takes him on lots of trips out to the zoo, farms, soft play, educational groups, museums and always manages to find different places. This as well as creative play at her home , reading, teaching and many other activities. She documents everything and throughout the day I receive pictures and updates . Thank you Lisa you are amazing and James loves you X
