My little girl started in Cadzow just after last lockdown. Despite the restrictions still in place, I was allowed to sit in the nursery garden during my daughter’s first visit. During her first visit, a member of staff sat with me to find out about my daughter’s interests and needs.
From the outset, my daughter’s needs and welfare have been at the heart of staff’s planning. Regardless of what room she should be in based on age, she is moved through the rooms depending on her needs. Staff are also keen to follow up any activities in the nursery which have been recommended by other professionals to support my daughter.
Communication is mostly done via an app which allows me to see what my daughter is doing throughout the day. It enables me to communicate with staff easily and, likewise, them with me.
The staff at Cadzow have created an inclusive ethos and they go above and beyond in supporting my daughter’s needs.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Cadzow Nursery to other parents ❤️
I moved my little girl from a local nursery to Cadzow when she was 9months having only spent 4 weeks at the previous one I had a terrible gut feeling leaving her every day. I went to visit Cadzow and from the moment I met Leanne and had a tour I knew this was a far better environment for my baby. My little girl is now three, she had been apart of all the rooms and is now in upper school, each transition has been dealt with in a kind, gentle manner suited to my little girls needs. I couldn’t speak highly enough of the Cadzow family, the care, fun and education is exceptional. My next baby is enrolled and will start next year. The use of the Famly app and the money invested by Bill in the management team is second to none with the children at the heart of everything they do.
My daughter has attended Cadzow since I returned to work when she was 1 year old, however her settling in days began a month before hand and was tailored to suit her. The staff were happy to go at her and my pace. Like any first time parent I was really anxious and concerned about handing my baby over to strangers but all the staff have been consistently and genuinely warm, gentle and caring.
She is now over 2 and a 1/2 and the staff have helped her navigate walking, speech and potty training as well as social skills and general learning. They are always open to discussing what strategies are used at home and help mimic those at nursery to ensure consistency. She is clearly attached to all the staff and runs to them for cuddles in the morning. Like all toddlers she might have the odd clingy day but the staff have lots of distraction and reassurance techniques to help her and again are happy to go at her pace.
Staff are keen to discuss with parents what interests your child and organise little activities that help engage them and share it with the other children in little groups as a learning opportunity for them all.
The environment is clean, warm, bright and focused on the children learning and feeling safe, included, praised and listened to. It is constantly updated in terms of resources and they map out zones for different types of play and exercises - quiet areas, reading areas, dressing up etc. They staff are really innovative and take their job seriously but with lots of fun! There are lots of opportunities for imaginative play, singing, dancing, language, reading, music, art, messy play...the list is endless.
The nursery is focused on the health and mental well being of the children with lots of discussion around feelings and healthy foods and hygiene.
The onsite cook provides nutritious, varied meals and snacks and dietary requirements and allergies are observed and cared for through careful procedures and care plans.
There are lots of outdoor play and discovery opportunities in the garden areas and the children very often go to the woods, the library, the shops etc in small groups with the staff. Children are afforded lots of choices and independence - like choosing and pouring their own cereal which my daughter was so proud to show me! Children are encouraged to help with grown up activities which pays off at home!
The nursery shares information via the Famly App where I can check in through my work day to see how she ate and slept and what activities she has been up to. The online learning journal section is brilliant. Throughout the coronavirus crisis we have been able to keep in touch via this with staff, children and parents to help our little ones feel a sense of normality and hopefully help re introduce them to the setting with ease after restrictions are lifted.
The nursery has parents evenings to discuss progress and if i ever have a query or a concern I (as any parent should) feel entirely comfortable with popping in or having a quick chat on the phone to discuss any little worries i have and they are always quickly resolved.
The staff do a wonderful job and the management obviously facilitate this through investing in their training and helping to develop the ethos and family feeling that our children enjoy so much.
My daughter talks about her nursery, classmates and the staff all the time, happily asking if she can go to nursery in the mornings :) and waves to the building if we pass by!
I highly recommend this nursery and am so grateful to have found it.
My son has been in this nursery for over a year now and has been in different rooms moved up due to his age. Every room he has been in the members of staff have been fantastic with my son. They got to know my son very well and do their care based on each individual childs needs. Each of my son's key workers were great and clearly understood his interests. He also bonded very well with other members of staff. My son is lactose intolerant and the nursery cater to this very well. Throughout the Corona virus outbreak the nursery have been giving updates as to who was able to put their child in and when the nursery would be due to shut. I would highly recommend this nursery.
My daughter has been through this award winning nursery from the baby room to upper school and she has loved every second.
The staff take the time to get to know your children and their interests and strengths/weaknesses. They develop their skills from a very young age and have given my daughter the best start to her education.
They encourage outside play and have a front and back garden as well as a balcony which means there is enough outside space for all ages.
There is an app for the parents to keep in contact with staff which is updated regularly.
My newborn son will also be attending this nursery even although I have moved further away - the staff are fantastic and I wouldn’t dream of sending my son anywhere else.
I sent my boy here (now 2 and a half) when he was just 9 months old. I was so nervous and apprehensive but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. The staff are amazing, they treat the children as if they are their own. They send you daily updates on what they have been up to and what they have eaten etc so even when your at work you can see all the wonderful things they get up to. They have really brought him on and he’s so clever. He looks forward to seeing the girls and even on the days he’s having a wobble or doesn’t want to leave me, they give him extra time to settle in and start his day with his friends. I can fault the nursery for anything. I would recommend Cadzow nursery to everyone who has kids that they want to be treated with love, kindness and fun. I’m sending my daughter here when I go back to work at the end of the year and I have no worries at all about leaving her in their very capable hands!

Thanks Natalie! Can wait to see A back with his wee sister :) xxxx
Our little girl started attending the Cadzow Nursery when she was 3. She did not speak a word of English when she started as we moved to Scotland shortly before we enrolled her. We were worried how she would settle in but Cadzow Nursery turned out to be a perfect place for her. The staff were very attentive, they made sure that she always felt engaged and taken care of. They genuinely cared about my little girl and did everything they could to help her development. Over a year later, she speaks English fluently, she is happy and confident and she loves going to the nursery.
All kids spend great amount of time outside, they get to go for trips to the shops, museums and other attractions. They get served freshly cooked food too.
The nursery is excellent in every aspect:)
I have two children at Cadzow and they both love it. The team treat the children as individuals, adapting their learning to the right pace, encouraging them and recognising success. The variety of activities is great and with the new ICT room for the pre school children, right up to date with the skills they need. I would recommend Cadzow to anyone. They children are safe, stimulated and very well fed!
Rocco has been going to the nursery for nearly 2 years and he loves going. He started in the Tiny Tots room and is currently in the Toddlers room. I was dreading putting him into a nursery but after a few weeks I could see the staff were amazing and very caring. Miss Carol, Miss Kerri and Miss Hannah and Miss Rachael keep you updated on a daily basis of what they have been doing that day. Also the music teacher on a Monday is brilliant Rocco is always singing songs that he has learnt at the nursery. The new balcony and garden area is fantastic and the kids will have a fab time playing outside in all weathers. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone. Rocco loves batman and Miss Carol even started wearing batman socks to Rocco's delight.
My little girl has been with cadzow since she was a 1yr and now heading to school this August. She absolutely loves going to nursery, the staff are fab, always friendly and approachable and i love the fact that all the staff know the kids by name.
My son who is now 10yrs old used to attend Cadzow and had a fantastic time there also. The management and staff have changed since his days there and they have improved the facilities tenfold. They have outings, lots of new activities for the kids to join, music lessons and enjoy-a-ball come in ( which Olivia LOVES) they have also invested a lot of money in a new IT area for the pre-school room and a wonderful new balcony area for them too, which Olivia cannot wait to get out to.
I feel safe in the knowledge that Olivia is looked after in every aspect at Cadzow and is she 100% happy going.
