My Summary
Night Nanny & Sleep Trainer
About Me
My name is Liz and I am a qualified nanny. I'm married with two daughters, aged 16 and 17, and I live in East Molesey. I have over 30 years childcare experience and am available for night nanny and sleep training work, both weekdays and weekends, plus evening babysitting. I am trustworthy, a good time keeper and totally reliable. I chose a career in childcare because I have always loved looking after children. I have a good sense of humour, which is vital when working in this area! I always listen to what a child has to say and aim to make them feel special. When working as a nanny, I treat every single child with respect and look after them as I would my own. I was delighted to receive the Certificate of Excellence from Childcare.co.uk.
My Experience
I have been looking after children for over 30 years and am qualified with DBS check. I have worked with many families over this time - as a day nanny, night nanny and sleep trainer - and formed great relationships with them. I travelled to Australia with one family, as they were relocating and asked me to join them. I thoroughly enjoy looking after children and did this right up until I had my first daughter in 2007. I worked part time as a night nanny until my second daughter was born the following year.
My Qualifications
NAMCW Certificate. (National Association for Maternal and Child Welfare)
Equivalent to NNEB.
DBS Check.
My Availability
I am available for evening babysitting 7 days a week plus night work. I would need to leave the parents' home at 6:30am, if staying overnight, in order to be back home for my own children when my husband leaves for work.
It can be a very exciting time when a new baby is born, but also totally exhausting! If you need a bit of support and some time to catch up with some valuable sleep, then I am able to stay overnight and sort all your baby's/child's needs.
This could be just one or two nights if that is all you require, but could also be weeks or months. I am here to support you with any issues that may arise and can also guide you towards a night-time routine if that is what you are looking for.
If you simply need childcare overnight, if you are away for business, or pleasure, then I am available as a thoroughly trustworthy sitter/companion/carer.
I am able to assist with babies, or children of an older age group, who may be struggling with a sleep pattern. Many children wake during the night for different reasons, or have trouble settling into sleep. I can help you work out the best way to get your child sleeping through the night.

Liz came to help us with our second baby when she was 6 days old, we had her three nights a week for 12 weeks. I honestly couldn't speak more highly of Liz, she was everything I wished we had with our first baby. Not only was she so knowledgable but kind and caring to our daughter and also to us. Liz went above and beyond to help and advise us wherever possible, we trusted her whole heartedly we left the country on a couple of occasions as we knew our daughter was in the best hands. She had our daughter sleeping through the night from 11 weeks she is now 16 weeks and is consistently sleeping through the night anywhere between 7pm-7/8am! I was genuinely very upset when we had to say goodbye to Liz as we loved having her around the house, we still speak often as when I need advice she is my go to.
Any family and baby will be very very lucky to have Liz! :)
Liz came to us for 3 nights when I was having difficulty with my 5 month old’s sleep at night. She was waking every few hours wanting to be fed which was exhausting for all of us. Liz was very warm and friendly on arrival, she immediately put me at ease. She explained what she would do clearly so that we felt comfortable leaving our daughter in her hands and were able to actually relax and get some sleep! She wrote down what she had observed during the night and let me know how to keep it up during the day. She came the second night and then was flexible to come for a third night when we needed a bit more help. She continued to observed my daughter so that she could advise us on other ways to make her sleep better based on what she saw. Not only that but she followed up afterwards on WhatsApp so I was able to ask follow up questions and felt able to deal with her alone. My daughter now sleeps through the night 7-6ish without wanting feeding at all, and we are all feeling so much better for it! I definitely couldn’t have done it without liz and her knowledge, and calm attitude.
We contacted Liz for early evening babysitting as had tickets for a show in town and needed someone to do the whole bath and bedtime routine for our 5 month old (we unfortunately don’t have any family members to call upon!) When speaking with Liz she asked about sleep patterns and our daughter was waking frequently in the night for short periods of time for what we thought was food. Liz suggested using our babysitting evening as a stepping stone to try and get her to sleep through the night along with moving her into her own room and larger cot at the same time. I thought ambitious but let’s give it a go!
Liz came the week before to familiarise herself and to meet our daughter. She stayed on the first night and we took advantage of having a sneaky night away knowing our daughter was in good hands having read her references and documentation along with the meet the previous week. Liz had run through how it would work explaining that a child of 5 months can go through the night without feeding and the cry outs had become habit induced as rewarded with a cuddle and food. She would monitor how often she woke and for length of time listening out to the type and frequency of cry. Liz provided updates throughout the evening with pictures of a happy child when we left and on waking in her cot and playing in the morning.
We returned home after the first night and Liz provided a night diary of the wake periods and length of time for each, and our daughter had gone the whole night without a feed and with one longish period of crying coupled with a few other wake ups at similar times as usual.
Liz returned the following night whilst we were home after bedtime routine and she was asleep. Again we were told to go to bed and she would be on watch. Another night this time with minimal crying/wake ups.
The following night we were flying solo…we did bath and feed then put her down at 7.10pm. Throughout the early part of the night before we went to sleep ourselves she cried out a couple of times but did not wake. Liz had explained not to go in and disturb her so you do have to be steely! The following morning I went in to an awake smiling baby at 7.20am!
From the moment we made contact with Liz she has been on hand answering questions via message quickly and following up on how the sleeping has gone after the initial night in a really helpful manner. This has given peace of mind and also allowed for baby brain forgetfulness for all those questions for when she was with us to get answered.
Amazing! A happy baby and even happier parents….just need to catch up on the 5 months lost sleep! Can’t recommend Liz highly enough 😃
We were having trouble with our five month old sleeping pattern. He was waking every two hours for feeds and his last three hours of sleep required us to hold him for him to sleep. He also refused to sleep in his cot. We engaged Liz for a few nights and she worked her magic. She’s very personable and our son warmed up to her immediately. She explained what she was going to do and provided reassurance along the way. During the night she kept us informed and was a pleasure to have around. She also provide us with support after she left and we would highly recommend her. We’ve seen the results immediately and he now has a much better sleeping pattern - last night was our first night without Liz and he slept throughout and we are absolutely delighted. He now sleeps independently in his own room/cot and his afternoon naps have also significantly improved.
I reached out to Liz to help me with my 3.5 month old baby. We had fallen into bad habits post birth and at the point Liz joined us my daughter was screaming every evening, sleeping on me every night, going to bed at 9pm either by feeding to sleep or screaming herself to sleep and waking 3-6 times every night. I was exhausted.
My main hope was that Liz would be able to get my baby sleeping independently in their cot. She did that and more and within a few nights my baby was falling asleep at 7pm on her own in her own cot with minimal fuss and sleeping all the way through to 6am. Something I never thought possible! She even takes naps in the cot now!
Liz is incredibly friendly and warm and immediately makes you feel relaxed. She is very calm and confident and I felt safe leaving my baby in her hands. She guides you and passes on her knowledge but never comes across as bossy, she involves you in the process and checks you are happy and comfortable with what she’s doing.
I can’t recommend Liz enough and my 3 year old daughter keeps asking when she’s coming back ❤️
