About Me
I have a 23year year old daughter and a 14 son who I am legal guardian for.
I trained as NNEB when I was 16. I have worked with children generally since then.
I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, reading, singing and having children around me.
My Experience
My experience is plenty and varied.
As a NNEB I worked on a paediatric ward for ages birth to two.
At 19 I went to Greece for 3 years as a nanny to 2 children aged 8 and 2 .
I then trained as a General Nurse and worked as a staff nurse on a general paediatric ward ( surgical and medical) and also A& E.
I then had 4 years off where I travelled the world and had my daughter.
When she was 3 I worked as school Nurse for the Health Authority. This involved Health assessments, immunisations and Child Protection.
In 2006 I became a foster carer. I have looked after 11 children in this time. Their ages have ranged from birth to 21. I have also had mothers and babies.
I am a trained family planning nurse and have done lots of further training in attachment, play therapy, filial play, managing behaviour, working with professionals and more.
This does sound alot on here but I am passionate about children and a very nurturing person.
