About Me
My name is umu and I am a childminder. I provide a high standard of care, according to the EYFS Framework. I strive to offer experiences, activities and opportunities that provide the best possible learning outcomes for each individual child in my care, moving them on from where they are and adapting my practice according to how they choose to learn and achieve.
Alongside this, I make it a priority to communicate with parents, through daily discussion, diaries and shared planning. This ensures every child feels loved, valued, safe and secure- which is the best possible environment to have fun and promote effective learning and development.
I provide a wide range of activities, planned round a half termly theme, which cover the seven learning areas of the EYFS. These include art and craft activities, painting, sticking, cooking, visits to local parks, the library, singing and rhymes, musical instruments and movement, dance, imaginary play, sand, water, etc. I also visit a local playgroup and soft play area on a weekly basis. Your child will also have the opportunity to socialize in a smaller group of children of varying ages, building on their confidence, social skills and communication and language.
I have a diploma in childcare level 3, Up to date first aid, dbs. checked and Ofsted Registered.

Umu is an excellent childminder. I have been using her service for about a year now. My son has bonded well with her and enjoys going to DDS childminder. She communicate effectively with me regarding my son and keeps me updated about his daily activities. My son loves her cooking and love exploring with other children at DDS childminder. She does various activities with all the children. And her service are reasonable priced and she is a very understanding childminder. Highly recommended childminder.

Do not use this person. She was meant to baby sit for us to go out for dinner for our wedding anniversary, it was all arranged, and now 20 mins after she was meant to arrive she has blocked me on childcare.co.uk.

You never confirmed with me about price . I told you my price and you never agreed no reply. I never blocked you . This is very hurtful as i offer flexibility to all the parent who use my services. I have always showed up to my babysitting jobs. Please take this off as this is not fear to my service. I will have a word with childcare. Co.uk as you never confirmed with me and agreed to my price you wanted me to baby for less than charges.
Umu is an excellent Childminder , the things that stand out immediately are her professionalism and the cleanliness of the area where the children are cared for. Umu has been looking after my 9 month old daughter and she has been flourishing , its added so much structure to her day and I noticed an improvement in her eating and sleeping pattern. She also been encouraging her in developmental milestones and I feel my daughter has really benefitted from the increased tummy time , reading and activities. I am also really pleased with the level of communication , I receive pictures and lots of little updates regarding daughters progress. My daughter was also given a little folder which we bring home each week detailing her day , so as a parent I can have a look through and see when she has eaten , slept , when she has been changed etc. Overall I feel that Umu's service is very professional and I love the partnership that she has with me as a parent. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their child.

I found Umu earlier this year. And my son instantly took to her. She keeps him busy with different activities each day. He has learnt so much in the 11 months he has been there. He was shy when he first started but now he is outspoken smart and witty. Umu is a superstar. She’s always communicating and keeping you updated with your child’s progress and offers flexibility. Out of all the childminders I have seen I am so glad I found her. My son adores her to bits. They go swimming. Soft play. Do cooking. Learn so much. She goes above and beyond for the kids in her setting. I recommend her so much. Look no further. If you are serious about your child’s development bring them to Umu. She offers a range of food and always changes the menu. Her activities allow the kids to interact and use their critical thinking skills.
