Highly recommended!

We could not be happier than we are with Melissa who provides a home away from home for our little girl. Melissa is a wonderful, caring person who looks after the children as if they were her own, kind and encouraging good behaviour. Her setup is great, clean and full of activities. Melissa spares no effort in producing high-quality homemade food and takes the children for outdoor activities whenever possible. She has been looking after our little girls since she turned one (she is now three) and has a wealth of experience and common sense that she is happy to share with us parents.

Like a second family, truly outstanding

We've been with Melissa since 2018 (5 years), first with our son and now our youngest daughter who attends four days a week. Since day one, she helped put us at ease and both our children soon settled in.

Melissa is a wonderful and naturally generous person who is always caring for others. She creates varied and educational play to help build children up gradually to more formal educational settings and even gave advice on schools and next step development for our son when he was at the right age.

Her setting is close to Crystal Palace park, so there are regular trips there, as well as further afield to add variety with prior notice (particularly in summer months).

Her cooking is to be a very high standard, is varied, healthy and delicious and has really helped both children expand their food horizons.

Her setting is always clean and tidy with outdoor space.

We couldn't recommend Melissa more and are so happy we found her and her wonderful family.

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR YOUR CHILD

My Son Aaryan started at Melissa when he was almost 9 months old, from his first day away from home he was calmed and comforted by Melissa even as he cried, she has a great deal of patience and understanding and gives you confidence that all will be ok and that he will settle as its a new environment away from Mom. i went to my work leaving my baby with Melissa and it was the best decision I've made to this day. He settled in well from his first week, Melissa sends pictures which gives reassurance that my son was happy at his new place. He was still being bottle fed when he started and from 3rd week he was having oats from a spoon, as Melissa taught him to start eating solids. I was so grateful for this, being full time Mom i couldn't do all i wanted during the day, Melissa is not only taking care of my son but also nurturing him with love, attention and care like she would her own.
During Covid when Aaryan was home with family and couldn't go out, Melissa made it her duty to video call and ensure that all is well and interact with Aaryan, which really helps as sometimes it was hard to explain why he couldn't go out, as Melissa usually take them to different site seeing places and playgroups and parks, everyday is another activity session or somewhere fun to go when at Melissa.
Aaryan learnt so much being there, he learned to talk, his first steps were with her, and all the struggles to get him to eat she is part of, we are still working together trying different food everyday as Aaryan eats more when with Melissa, happy to say he has a few favourites and now request food more.
Melissa home has a warmness, clean and comfortable feel whenever you go there to either drop off or pick up your child, she always gives highlights of day with a big happy smile on her face
i will continue to send my child to Melissa, as he is in a clean and safe place full of happiness and his friends

Truly outstanding childcare

We were lucky enough to find Melissa when our little boy was one year old. She has looked after him for the past two and a half years and we couldn’t be more delighted with the loving, expert, individualised care she provides.

Melissa’s setting is very homely and welcoming. She plans a wide range of engaging and age-appropriate activities for the children and organises trips to parks and wildlife centres. She is expert at supporting the children’s early literacy and numeracy development, as well as their social skills and independence.

She has also supported us with advice regarding potty training, transition to nursery etc. which was very helpful.

Melissa is dedicated and passionate about her work and certainly deserves her recent ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted grading. We feel very fortunate to have found her.

Lovely childminder and setting

Melissa is very friendly and caring, and the setting is always clean and tidy. There is lots of room and activities for the children to play with and Melissa always tries to take them out to the park or on other fun trips. She cares a lot about what she does and has invested a lot of time and money in ensuring her care is the best it can be.

She's a great cook and my daughter has tried lots of new foods that she refuses to eat at home. The smells coming out of the kitchen are divine, I would love to have dinner at Melissa's!

My daughter has really enjoyed her time with Melissa and we are so happy to have found her.
