About Me

I'm a happy, reliable, honest, friendly, fair but firm Nanny, based in Riddlesden, West Yorkshire. I'm Ofsted registered with a full current Paediatric First Aid certificate, fully insured and also have my Food Health & Hygiene certificate, and can also communicate via BSL (currently doing Level 4). I am happy to accept childcare vouchers towards payment, and am registered with the government tax free childcare scheme for childcare payments.
I have worked as an ad-hoc cover supervisor in both primary, secondary and special needs schools. I also offer babysitting during evenings and weekends, and we have fostered for many years too.
I've worked with children from birth to 18, including twins and large groups of children at any one time. I have experience of children with additional needs, both visible and also additional needs that are harder to "see". One of my previous nanny families had a child with cochlear implants, and along with using BSL, she would lip read and we would communicate in other ways.
I'm happy to work around you and your hours, shift workers are not a problem, evenings and weekends are fine too. I charge for the hours you need, and am more than happy to annualise them for you - should you only need term time care, you can split the cost across twelve months.

As I am fully self-employed I'm responsible for my own tax/NI/pension, etc.
I have space for termtime/wraparound/holiday/evening/weekend/shift care. I am happy to accommodate shift workers and students entitled to Childcare Grant payments, and parents who receive help through universal credit.

I work with children of all ages, and have also run a children's charity. I have over thirty years experience of childcare, and have excellent references and qualifications.

- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
Open to discussion, I am registered as self employed therefore responsible for my own tax and NI/pension.
Happy to be paid via childcare vouchers, depending on the agency your employer uses.
If you're entitled to the student finance childcare grant, I can accept this too.
I'm also registered with the government tax-free childcare scheme.
I only charge for the hours you actually need, I don’t charge a retainer for holidays, and in the last seven years I have had no days off sick whatsoever.

Nic started doing wrap-around care for my son 18 months ago. He had had some difficulties in his before and after school club due to his issues with regulating his emotions, so i needed someone who would understand his hidden needs, make him feel safe and reduce his anxiety. Nic has been perfect for my son. She is the perfect combination of firm/no no nonsense and love and my son has thrived in her care. Nics care has helped enable him to become a more secure, confident and happy boy!

Nic has been looking after my two daughters since July 2015 and it's safe to say Mary Poppins does exist! I have two girls 5 and 2. She provides rap around care for my eldest and looks after my two year old 4 days a week full time. My eldest is profoundly deaf, and without any prompting from myself Nic took it upon herself to learn bsl to able to communicate with my eldest better. Both my girls are extremely happy in nics care and I couldn't be happier with the service she provides! Having a nanny isn't just a form of childcare, it's welcoming someone into your family and your home, one thing I couldn't be happier to have done. She loves my girls as though they were her own and it's clear to see how much they adore her.
From days out, to meals being prepared, homework and unconditional love, this lady provides it all.
As a single mother of two I no longer have to worry about where my girls are and if they are happy. I trust Nic implicitly and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a nanny.

Nic has been a nanny to my 8year old daughter for a month now. Very professional with initial meetings providing all relevant certificates and information. My daughter is clearly happy and relaxed in her company and I am no longer stressed and worried as to who and how to care for my daughter whilst at work. I know my daughter is in safe, capable hands and happy.
