About Me
My name is Nicola Meager and I am an OFSTED registered OUTSTANDING I do drop off and pick ups from Newnham infant and junior school in Eastcote . I have 3 beautiful daughters of my own and I know that finding the right childcare for your most precious child is extremely important
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 20 years and have experience working with children from birth up to 17 years. I offer a wide range of activites for children including parks, soft play areas, music and movement group , toddler groups and we do all sorts of arts and crafts as well as trips to feed the ducks and picnics etc. I have a level 3 in teaching and learning and aim to plan activities/ experiences to enhance children's development in all areas .
My greatest experience that i can offer is that I am a mother myself and can appreciate how difficult it must be to hand your precious child over to someone you hardly know and I hope that i can put your mind at ease by offering a safe, happy ,secure home from home setting.I pick up from Newnham School in Eastcote. If you require Term time only I do not charge a retainer for the holidays .References available on request.
My Qualifications
I hold the required Indroduction to childminding practice qualification as well as a vaild pedeatric first aid certificate .I attend many training courses, far too many to list but which include health and safety, positive behaviour for under 5s, child protection, letters and sounds as well as The Early Years Foundation Stage.
I have a level 3 Cache qualification in supporting teaching and learning .
I was rated Outstanding in all areas at my last Ofsted inspection in February 2020

I have a space available immediately Monday - Thursday 7.30am- 2. 30pm would suit someone looking to use 15 / 30 hours funding

My daughter has been going to Nikki since September 2017 when I went back to work full time, I was very anxious about the search for a childminder and I had already met some which left me rather unsettled BUT as soon as I walked through Nikki's door I felt at ease, She had thought about everything… there were toys laid out for the children to play with so me and Nikki could speak and Nikki went into great detail about her health and safety policy’s, what she would do in emergency situations and what she would do with the children day to day. I signed up on the spot and I have not regretted my decision, My daughter is very happy in Nikki’s care and sometimes she would even love to stay a bit longer because of how much fun she is having. I have no tears in the morning when dropping her off and even on the odd but rare occasion that she is upset Nikki soon settles her with some cuddles and her favourite toys.
I would Highly recommend Nikki as a childminder, she is a mother and a professional. Nikki really cares about the children she looks after and it really does comes across in how happy the children are to go to her. I have been very lucky to have Nikki look after my daughter and her attentiveness towards her has enabled me to go to work stress free and content that my daughter is safe , happy and having fun !

Nikki has been looking after our 2 year old son for a year now and she has been absolutely fantastic. She is a very warm and kind person and our son has been very happy there. He never cried being left with her and is always keen to get out of the door when he knows that’s where he is going. It is important to add that he is not like that with anyone but us and his grandparents.
It was hard leaving our 1year old baby with a complete stranger but Nikki was recommended to us and she made it all smooth and easy. She is excellent at communicating, always keeps us informed, sends lovely photos every week and writes each day in a journal detailing the activities our son did as well as when he slept, what he ate and how many nappies he used.
She follows OFSTED and keeps beautiful and very detailed Early Years Progress Portfolio and My Learning Journey for our son. She is nurturing and fun and the children have great stimulation and entertainment at her house as well as places she takes them. Safeguarding is a number one priority for her and she always ensures that the safety of the children comes first.
Our son is our second child and we have once again decided to go for a childminder rather than a nursery and again it proved to be the right choice. The home atmosphere our son gets there and having one person he knows and trusts who looks after him is reassuring for him as well as us. And because he is not the only child there he has friends to play with and is developing his social skills. I can’t recommend Nikki enough. She has been fantastic and we are very lucky to have her.
