About Me
Hi My name is Alison, I am a mum to 4 Beautiful grown up Daughters and have 12 gorgeous Grandchildren, I have always worked in childcare throughout my working life from Babies to primary school children. I have been Child Minding for 12yrs and love this job over any other I have had, I Started my career volunteering in local schools when my own children where little which instilled a love and Fascination in wanting to work with children, I started working as a mid day supervisor whilst still volunteering, before taking a 3 year college Diploma course in Childcare and Education, I then went on to be a class room assistant in an infants school before moving to a Children’s Centre and then to be a Manager running a Day Nursery then into my current job as a Childminder. We usually venture out in the morning to Tots groups, libraries, parks and Museums, to name a few this will enable your child to mix with other children there age, then after lunch it’s free play where your child can play with the many Educational Toys/games I have accumulated over my Childminding days, I also have an enclosed garden for the children to play in.
My Experience
Please read the All about me which I have described along with my Experiences, I am always looking at ways to improve my knowledge of childcare and keeping up with the ever changing criteria that we have to follow, I do this by attending face to face training sessions, webinars on line, reading Childcare magazines and following Closed Childminder websites for an abundance of information.
My Qualifications
I have an NNEB in Childcare and Education
First Aid
Safe guarding Children
and am continually adding to my Proffessional Development by doing courses on line and Reading Childcare Magazines
My Availability
I currently have an Early years space available 0-5yrs
I also do wraparound care for school children either before or after care term time only or school holidays only or I can combine both to cover term time and school holidays whichever suits your needs I currently drop of and pick up from Hestersway Primary and Springbank Academy I can do part time ( min 6 hrs a day or full time 10+ hrs a day I can be flexible to suit if spaces are available for the hours you require.
