About Me
I am a 50 year old South African nanny (and a mum!!), who has over 30 years of childcare experience. I have done nannying, teaching, tutoring, nursery nursing, babysitting, and am a mother to a 11 year old boy called Joshua! I have always loved everything to do with children - and have felt myself privileged to be a part of all the firsts and special experiences of the different families for whom I have worked. I am also an avid reader (when I get the time!), swimmer, and outdoorsy type ( I love country walks, gardens etc).
My Experience
I have worked for 7 different families, doing full-time nannying, looking after children ranging in age between 2 months and 9years. My duties have been cooking, cleaning, washing and ironing, driving to and from school, activities, playdates etc, looking after animals, seeing to the general well being of all the children in my care.
I have also worked in three nurseries, looking after the toddlers and the 4 year-olds
I have done substitute teaching at various schools in South Africa for junior primary children.
I have tutored triplets, and had experience with one severely mentally handicapped girl, a boy with Aspergers, and a couple of children with ADHD.
My Qualifications
I am childcare level 3 certified
I am up to date with my first aid
I have completed many courses in child safeguarding, health and safety, etc
I am DBS checked
My Availability
My preference would be term time, Monday to Friday 8-5/6, but would also be happy to do 2-3 days a week, all year round.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
I have been informed that the going rate for a nanny with my experience, is about £11-12/hour, but would be willing to negotiate on this.
