About Me

Hello my name is Sarah and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder in Farnborough & I'm very lucky to work alongside a great assistant, we have a fabulous group of children with us and I feel it’s beneficial for them being around different age groups,building confidence and empathy towards others. I’m currently working towards my Curiosity Approach Accreditation, my setting uses authentic materials, loose parts and in the moment planning following on from a child’s interests. I’m a huge advocate for outside learning and love the forest school ethos, we love visiting a local forest approach setting with the children and they absolutely love it!
I have 24 years experience in childcare, I know how important it is to find the right type of childcare for your children, whether that is a home from home environment, a nursery or a pre school, the whole searching can feel scary! I offer a very relaxed and enjoyable setting for the children that I care for, I encourage child led play as well as adult led activities and above all we have fun! I Have 2 children of my own,. We also share our home with our Sprocker Humphrey! We live in a 3 bed semi with a lovely large free flowing lounge and dining room which then opens up onto a large garden...separate wooden play area, complete with trampoline, playhouse and various cars/bikes and ride on's.
We also love to venture out on walks to Frimley lodge park, Wellington Country Park, Wisley Gardens and National Trust parks....we are a very outdoor family which I think is really important for young children. How ever we do also love toddler groups, gym clubs or play dates should the weather not be so perfect!
I have a very equipped play area with many toys/puzzles/games for all ages of children. We have great fun with messy play and sensory play using dried pastas and rice or sand and water games. I try to keep things really varied so that the children in my care get to experience lots of different and exciting things!
