My Summary
About Me
Hi, my name is Ewa and I am a Ofsted Registered Childminder. I live in Coleview (Oakley Park) with my husband and our son in a four bedroom house with garden, which is equipped with all the necessary safety adaptations for toddlers and young children. Lots of natural and real items for the children to explore. I constantly access training sessions to ensure my care knowledge is up to date and continue my professional development.
I aim to work in partnership with parents to provide all children in my care a clean, safe, loving, homelike environment where everyone feels valued.
Respect towards self, others, and the environment will be emphasised and modelled in every thing we do.
I provide pick ups and drop offs : Nythe Primary School, Nythe Pre- School, Colebrook Junior School.
My Experience
OFSTED Inspection Report: 14 February 2018
Inspection findings:
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good.
The childminder evaluates the service she provides. She involves parents in this process to identify areas where she can improve further. For example, she has identified that she would like to extend her knowledge in supporting children who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities. The childminder tracks the progress of children's achievements to help her to identify any gaps in their learning. She knows how to seek help from other relevant professionals, if necessary, to help ensure that all children make good progress. Safeguarding is effective. The childminder keeps her knowledge of this area up to date. For instance, she has recently undertaken further training relating to child protection. She has a secure understanding of how to recognise when a child is at risk and what to do if she has any concerns. The childminder assesses her home regularly and minimises hazards to ensure that children can play safely in her care.
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good.
The childminder has a good understanding of how to support children's learning, for example, by playing alongside them and helping them to explore. Children welcome the childminder's involvement in their play. The childminder keeps parents regularly informed about their children's learning and development. For example, she shares information effectively through daily contact sheets and regular progress reports, and she gives parents ideas for activities at home. This supports good continuity in children's experiences. The childminder supports younger children's communication and language skills well. For example, she ensures they have eye contact with her, responds well to their vocalisations and models language to help children to make good progress.
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good.
The childminder supports non-mobile babies well to develop their physical skills. For example, they are supported with time on the floor to learn to roll, crawl and shuffle. The childminder supports babies to develop good independence skills, such as learning to hold beakers and drink from open cups. The childminder helps children to understand about their personal safety. For example, she provides parents with story books to read at home to help children to learn about keeping themselves safe when using the internet.
Outcomes for children are good.
Young children engage in play for long periods in activities that interest them, such as banging objects together and placing them in baskets. They enjoy exploring musical resources and they press buttons and keys to produce noises. Young children develop skills to support their early literacy. For instance, they curiously explore books, turning the pages with interest. Children benefit from their time with the childminder. They learn valuable skills to prepare them for future learning and in readiness for school.

Our 15 month old has been with Ewa for around 2 months now and we feel SO lucky to have found her. Ewa is so hardworking and it is clear how much effort and thought she puts in to setting up fun and engaging activities for the children every day. The activities are usually linked to a theme and involve lots of learning too - we have seen Margot pick up many new skills already. Margot is so happy and excited to go to Ewa’s. She feels so comfortable with her and also loves seeing her friends there. The setting always seems so calm and like a lovely environment to be in, especially as a young toddler. Ewa will always go above and beyond and responds to any requests from us positively. She is amazing and we could not recommend her enough!
I could not recommend ewa enough. My daughter has been with her for just over a year now and couldn’t be happier.
Like everyone I’m sure, I was worried about leaving my baby let alone with a stranger. from the 1st visit seeing how passionate and professional Ewa was. all the resources and opportunities that were available to my daughter already put me at ease. It was reassuring having the settling in sessions and feed back. Having our communication book and weekly updates of photos/videos is also really nice. Ewa is great at communicating. She Will go above and beyond to offer any help and support needed. Along with flexibility when I’ve needed extra hrs or to change.
The set up is in a safe secure area just for the children inside and out. Full of activities and free play. Thalia is learning everyday and loves her time with Ewa and of course all her lovely friends she has made 😁
It’s not just a job to Ewa, she treats the children like her own which is very comforting. I’m so glad we found her 😁
Ewa is everything you could ask from a childminder and more!
Our daughter Felicity has been with Ewa for just over 6 months now but it feels much longer! Felicity was 13 months old when we began looking for a childminder and was very to herself, so we really wanted to ensure the childcare setting was well suited to what she needs. We didn't think 6 months later Felicity would be happily walking into Ewa's setting high fiving all her friends with a big smile on her face week in week out 😊
Ewa is so so friendly and really does go the extra mile for her children! The setting she has created really is home from home with so much more. Felicity does new different activities every session and has picked up new skills such as counting, sorting and learning actions to nursery rhymes. The close relationship Ewa has with Felicity we really feel like is no other. Ewa is fantastic at sharing what Felicity does each day through Felicity's log book plus photos and videos (which Felicity loves to watch herself when get back that evening) which is a really lovely touch. On top of that, on so many occasions Ewa has given us the flexibility and support to change and add additional childcare where needed (with a little bit of notice) which has been a life saver!
We are so grateful to have found the best childminder for our daughter Felicity and we look forward to seeing Ewa week in week out for the foreseeable future. Thank you so much Ewa ❤️
We are so thankful to have Ewa as our childminder. Her setting is perfect for children, with a variety of activities that keep them engaged and learning. She also has a wonderful garden, and each day she prepares something new and exciting for the kids. Our toddler loves coming home with arts and crafts, and even our older son, who attends preschool, often asks to go to Ewa’s instead!
Since joining, our son has made great strides in his learning and development. It’s clear she puts effort into helping the children grow, and she’s attentive to their progress. We couldn’t be happier with the care she provides—Ewa is truly amazing. Highly recommend!
My daughter (16 months) has been with Ewa for 4 months. She loves going to Ewa and I’m sure she would go more if she could! We’ve never had any tears or upset which shows how happy and safe she feels. Every day is a new activity for them to explore and learn and it so clear Ewa is passionate about what she does and the children she cares for. I would 100% recommend Ewa.
