About Me

Hello!

I am a 29 year old mother to a lovely very nearly 9 year old boy who has autism. I have just started the second year of my Education Studies degree at the University of Derby.

My Requirements

Babysitter
Live Out Nanny
After School Nanny
Part Time Nanny
Special Needs Experience
Household Help
Out of School Club

We're looking for a Nanny/Housekeeper/family support worker to start from November 2021. Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday, 2pm - 6pm (slight flexibility with these hours). The majority of the childcare will take place on my son's custody days with his Dad (also a full-time University student) so you will work with both of us.

*Optional* There may be the opportunity for some casual babysitting hours in the school holidays, whether this be supporting my son at his usual holiday club, taking him to a different activity, or coming out for the day to support a family day out. Also some evening/weekend babysitting will be available from time to time.

**Please note, your salary will be spread out equally across the year so you receive a wage even in the summer holidays etc.

Duties will include:

- Collecting our son from school at 3pm and taking him to an activity (park, soft play etc), club, or straight home where you can enjoy activities at home, as well as just keeping him company whilst he winds down after a busy school day!
- Preparing a snack/light tea for him, as well as some meal preparation for the adult's meals.
- General household cleaning and tidying.

Things to consider:

- Our son has autism and ADHD, and we will work with you to build a strong relationship with him. He is verbal, toilet-trained and enjoys reading, writing his numbers and letters, watching his tablet, playing outside and playing on his Ninetendo Switch. He can feed himself and get himself dressed.

- Current DBS check is essential, and experience of looking after children with special needs is desirable.

- We are looking for someone who is professional, committed and dedicated.

- A car is desirable, but not essential, as school is a 10 minute walk away. We live on a bus route and have shops close by.

- Ofsted registration is desirable, but can be discussed at interview for the right candidate.

Please contact me for further details.

Thanks for looking!
