About Me

Hi!
I’m Leah, I am 33 years old and am a Mum of two young boys. Myself and their father all live together in our spacious two bed, ground floor apartment.
We live in short walking distance to Ickenham and West Ruislip train stations, which provide major transport links. As well as having several bus routes on our door stop.

We are a home from home setting and I pride myself on having a fun, loving environment for the children.

I have worked in childcare for over seventeen years. Since having my own children, I have decided it is the perfect time for me to start childminding, to be with my own children whilst also supporting the learning and development of other children too.
Being a parent myself, I have first had experience of what is like to have to leave your children in a childcare setting. I deeply value the importance of a strong working relationship with families and children and I aim to make the process of leaving your child that little bit easier, providing you with a respectful, positive relationship from the get go.
Parents know their children best and in order for me to form a positive attachment to each child, it is vital that I gain key information from their parents, to make the settling in process as smooth as possible.
It is extremely important for me and your child to meet each other at my setting, before a space is agreed. I want every child to feel happy and welcome in my home.

Access to the outdoors is very important to supporting the physical and mental well being of the children. We have a small outdoor space, which is used for messy activities, water and sand play. As well as being lucky enough to have over five parks within only a 5/10 minute walk.
We are a very active setting and our out each morning. This includes walks, exploring the outdoors, observing wildlife, visiting the local library, attending toddler groups, or soft plays and daily trips into the local community.
All of these are included in the child’s fees, unless otherwise agreed in advance. For example, booked termly groups such as Hartbeeps, may be an extra charge.

I have a seven seater car, which is insured for business use. I have various car seats to suit the age, height and weight of each child. My car is used on most days, but I also value the importance of taking children on public transport.
