About Me
I live in Shrewsbury in the monkmoor area I have been childminder for 30 years I have 3 children of my own I also now have 4 beautiful grandchildren. I have had a new ofsted inspection 2024
My Experience
I been childminder for 30 years my work comes from word of mouth and family's I already have in the setting and friends I care for children from 12 weeks up to 11years old. I have care for children with special dietary requirements.
My Qualifications
I have level 3 childcare and education. I am up to date on Safeguarding who I do that with Shropshire safeguarding community partnership First Aid is with Cognet and Food Hygiene training. I also access the free training on Childcare.co.uk which helps me to keep up to date with the latest changes or updates I need to be aware of. I also attend CPD training courses when they are made available through my local Authority.
My Availability
I do before and after school drop off and pick up from Belvidere primary in Shrewsbury.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
My fees are £5.00 a hour and a extra fees if the children have meals at the settings

It wasn’t always in our plan for our daughter to go to a childminder. We’d got a place at nursery, and then covid happened. The nursery closed around 3 weeks before I was due to go back to work - panic set it! The council were so helpful and pointed us in the direction of Jackie. A local childminder with over 25 year’s experience.
We went to meet Jackie at her home within a couple of days of contacting her. We were instantly at ease, being in her home in that moment just felt right. She made us feel calm and welcomed, and our daughter seemed to take to Jackie straight away and we made the decision on the spot to accept the emergency placement with Jackie. That emergency placement turned into over 3 years of childcare with Jackie, and what an amazing time it has been. As soon as we found out we were expecting our second child we knew instantly that we wanted them to join Jackie’s childminding setting when I returned to work. Our daughter has grown into a confident 4 year old, she has learnt so much during her time spent within Jackie’s setting. Jackie has provided a caring, compassionate, homely and safe environment for our daughter and all other children under her care to flourish.

Having used Jackie for our first daughter we are now using her for our second. It was no question to look for anyone else. Jackie is highly experienced, offers a beautiful warm, comfortable and relaxing setting and goes above and beyond for everything she offers our daughter.
Even after many years she continues to amaze us just how much she does for not our our daughters but for us parents too. Support, guidance, reassurance like no other.
My daughter is extremely happy
Jackie has a fantastic reputation around shrewsbury and not many parents I speak too don’t know if her, she comes very highly recommended.

Jackie offers a relaxing, welcoming, professional and quality setting. From the moment we met her we were sure our daughter would be extremely happy with her. Jackie has worked wonders for our daughter, her speech, her development and her confidence. During covid lockdowns Jackie remained open supporting her families and doing her upmost best. We are extremely lucky to have her and look forward to our youngest child attending the setting shortly. She really is one of a kind.

Jackie provides a warm and loving home inviroment for the children. She is professional, reliable, and flexible to our families needs. All my children have enjoyed being in this setting and have always been kept busy doing interesting things. My kids always felt at home with Jackie! I feel lucky to have found her, and if I could have sent my kids for longer I would have done! Would recommend to anyone.
