About Me

I am a polite young lady with a strong passion for childcare. I am punctual, trustworthy and enthusiastic. I am committed, determined and have developed a varied skillset making me a well-rounded individual. My love for childcare means that I will go to any length to ensure that I can aid children on their road to reaching their full potential.

My passion for making each child’s learning experiences unique can be seen when I travelled to Goa, India, to refurbish a derelict pre-school whilst caring for those who live in the local slums.

My dedication to childcare can be recognized by my college days when I volunteered to work with the local Rainbows group (as a young leader) where I coordinated and planned activities as well as engaging and teaching in a wide variety of situations (often working in a close-knit team with other leaders.)

My varied skillset comes from experience working in multiple childcare settings enabling me to learn different aspects of care. From babies to nursery, preschool to 1st year, from complex learning difficulties to being a private nanny, my experience of childcare is vast.

I am confident I can face any challenges that childcare can present and enjoy the massive job satisfaction at the end of each day.

I wish to continue my career in Nanning as I have a true passion for working closely with children and watching them blossom into their own character. I thrive knowing I have had a beneficial impact on their life.

My Experience

May 17th – Current - Nursery Bank Staff
I am based in the 1-2 year old room, along with covering the other rooms to meet ratio when needed. I have been open minded to their child led curiosity approach and adapted to full in the moment planning.

March 7th – April 29th 2023 – Overseas High-Profile Live in Nanny
I looked after a 13month old boy alongside my colleague in a fully staffed house. I created learning and development opportunities through play, including mark making and role play. I answered the parents' developmental questions, provided advice and support throughout along with implementing next steps. I also travelled with the family, where I packed his bags and continued his routine on the flight and holiday where possible.

February 2020 – 3rd March 2023 – Private Nanny
Throughout COVID 19 I have looked after two sisters now aged five years and three years old. During lockdown I created a visual routine incorporating activities across the early year’s curriculum to give a healthy routine to our day. Now restrictions have lifted I organize a variety of fun educational days out around the school run and their hobbies. I have been flexible in the hours I work including evening and weekend overtime including three consecutive nights on several occasions whilst their parents travelled abroad. I also travelled to Dubai with the family, I organized activities for the flights and meal times (if necessary). Whilst there I took the girls swimming and attended days out researched by myself. The girls and I have a very strong relationship with respect and understanding of boundaries.

April 2021 – March 2022 Lead Lifestyle and Wellbeing Co-ordination at Abberton Manor Nursing Home
As Lead I planned and delivered activities and events alongside my colleague based around the resident's needs, wants and wishes to help them maximize their abilities. I worked as a team with the careers and arranged fortnightly meetings with my colleague to ensure she was content and support her in her role, to review our experiences and plan our actions. I completed documentation, communicated relevant information to the appropriate professionals and built trusting relationships with residents and their family's communicating and responding to their queries and concerns offering advice and support.

November 2018 – December 2019 – Private Nanny
I worked as a private full-time nanny for a professional family with three children, one year old twins and a six-year-old boy. I was responsible for the school run including packing his school bags, after school reading, writing and spellings. I planned regular activities and days out working to a budget. I communicated our plans daily to their parents along with sending pictures and updates on our day. Whilst the children napped, I used the time effectively to prepare nutritious meals, bake sweet and Savoury snacks and puddings, change the children’s bedding, wash and iron their clothes, tidy dust and hoover their bedrooms along with other light house duties. I looked after the children for three con-secutive days and nights whilst their parents went on holiday abroad.

April 2017 – June 2018 – Part time Private nanny (along side Constantine school house)
I looked after a 3 year old girl. I built a routine encorporating nutritious meals and snacks, social interaction at toddler groups, new hobbies such as ballet, gymnastics & swimming, along with fun outings, including trips to the zoo and park. When at home we enjoyed cooking, crafts and gardening. I was responsible for her appointments to the hospital and doctors, both booking and attending, I supported the parents with my professional knowledge and understanding of development , nutritional needs and various allergies.

October 2016 – 2019 (started full time as maternity cover, then worked two days a week followed by casual bank staff) - Constantine school house
