About Me
Hi, my name is Saima, I am 22 years old, and I live in Leeds in West Yorkshire. I have now passed my driving test, and I work in customer service, helping customers in relation to their home phone and broadband services. To provide a little background about myself, I gained really high GCSE's and A Levels. I then went onto studying Philosophy at the University of Leeds for one year. I did well, but I left because I really wanted to get into working with babies and children, and I am really eager to follow my dream, in the future.
I like spending time with my family and friends. I am also befriending an adult with a mental health condition, and meeting with her on a weekly basis, as I always strive to make a difference, and help people to achieve their goals.
I am really enthusiastic about beginning a career in childcare, as a babysitter and child minder. This is because I really like looking after and nurturing babies and children. This might sound like an extremely obvious statement, that is reiterated many times on this site, but I say this because I truly mean it. I genuinely believe that development in the younger years affects how we grow and are shaped as individuals, and creativity, play and methods of learning, are key components of this. In the future, I am very excited to begin a family of my own.
You may currently be wondering...why would I employ you, when there are people with a wealth of qualifications and experience out there.. as I am currently on a path to achieve these, but I have not yet reached the destination. And indeed that is a very good question. I will proceed to answer this in the paragraph below.
To begin with, I genuinely enjoy looking after and taking care of babies and children, it is something that is more than a desired job for me. I am currently considering the relevant qualifications and experience that are required of me, to pursue this as a career. It is not something I am immediately able to begin embarking on, but I will do so in the next couple of years. Also, my personal attributes of being highly organised, reliable, intelligent, and having a naturally caring disposition, further portrays why I am the ideal individual. I can relate very well to children, and I understand what is important in fostering happy and healthy, well rounded and unique, babies and children. Furthermore, my fees are very reasonable, as I am just beginning my journey as a babysitter and child minder.

My Experience
I often babysit voluntarily for family and friends, this mainly includes looking after, playing with, and actively encouraging, learning with older and younger children.
I have worked in retail, and I am currently working in customer service, at a call centre. The interpersonal skills that I have gained from here enable me to engage effectively with people of all ages. I have previously worked as a student host at the university of Leeds. Working as a student host enabled me to work with an array of age groups, ranging from primary school children to adults.
I currently do voluntary work with an adult in a befriending capacity, through an organisation that works with individuals, who have diagnosed mental health conditions.
My Qualifications
I have attained high grades in all of my GCSE and A level qualifications. I have attained all A* and A's in my GCSE qualifications, and A's in two of my A level qualifications, and a B in one of my A level qualifications. For the one year that I studied at university, I achieved a 2:1. Also gained a level 2 certificate in learning disabilities, and a level 2 certificate in understanding autism. I also have a higher education certificate in Philosophy.
My Availability
I am currently working in customer service on Friday, Saturday and Sundays between the hours of 10am and 10pm.
