My name is Pascale, I live in South-East London and I am 27.
I am in training towards a support worker role and I also volunteer for a charity called 'Emmaus' - leading workshops with service users, signposting services and setting people up with work experience and volunteer opportunities.
I studied Musical Theatre to degree level in my early twenties and thoroughly enjoy singing, music, dance and creative activities.
I have worked as a babysitter, Au Pair and nanny.
I have always loved working with children and I find it so rewarding. Most of my experience comes from Au Pair work whilst travelling in New Zealand and babysitting for one little girl here in London (ongoing).
I actually enjoy working with people of all ages, from all walks of life and I think my past roles reflect that.
I am experienced, with a positive attitude to work and have a current enhanced DBS check.
My Experience
My experience in childcare comes from having a brother 10 years my junior, working in New Zealand as an Au Pair whilst on a working holiday visa for one year and employment as a private nanny and babysitter for two families in London.
Whilst in training I also spent some time exploring Theatre In Education (T.I.E) and with this toured primary schools with a piece of childrens theatre and workshop.
Whilst in New Zealand I worked for three families with children ranging from 4 months to 7 years.
Responsibilities included day care pick up and drop off, preparing meals, supervising play, and supporting with day to day activities such as bathing, dressing, bed-times and educational play /homework sessions.
When needed I occasionally babysit for a family in London with a little girl. I have been looking after her since she was 8 months (since May last year) and have had the privilege of seeing her grow into a toddler.
My Qualifications
I have both adult and child first aid qualifications
I am DBS checked
My Availability
Ideally I am looking for up to 8 hours work per week but I am currently very free with my time and flexible and could begin with a much fuller schedule, which is why I've ticked most available boxes!
I am also willing to do the occasional overnight.
