About Me
I have 2 children of my own. My eldest is a boy aged 18 and my youngest is a girl aged 14. I also have 16 nieces and nephews aged from 20 down to 2. Naturally as children are always being born in my family I am familiar with children of all ages and their needs. Although I have no special needs qualifications, I do have a nephew who has special needs and so am familiar with their different requirements.
My Experience
I've had experience in the care sector so have looked after people with physical disabilities as well as mental disabilities. I've looked after people with cerebral palsy, MS, non communicators, autism, stroke sufferers, curvature of the spine, osteoporosis ,brain injuries and spinal injuries to name but a few.
My Qualifications
I have undertaken first aid training including choking. I've also been trained in epilepsy and dysphagia. I'd be happy to show my certificates if required
My Availability
I am available most days, I work as a carer and my rota gives me lots of free time. I can do early morning nursery drop offs, I can also do over overnight care if required. I have an up to date DBS, as does my husband.
My usual working rota is 24hr shifts, 1 on 3 off so my available days vary week to week, so ad hoc would suit me better at the moment
