About Me
My name is Lorna Blair and I am a registered childminder who aims to provide a fun, stimulating and safe environment to care for your child. I live in Cuparmuir on the outskirts of Cupar and make use of the facilities in Cupar such as the tots groups and parks. I enjoy taking the children outdoors to local woods for nature trails and getting outdoors for walks and playing in the garden, regardless of the weather.
I am able to provide funded places for 3 and 4 year old children between 8.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, during school term time.
I have studied for SVQ3 Child Care Learning and Development and am now working towards the BA in Childhood Practice.
I have daughters who are old enough to babysit and are willing to provide a babysitting service too.
My Experience
Experienced mum of 5 and gran to 1 - I have come across quite a lot in my time as a Mum.
Have experience of children with food allergies, asthma and autism.
I have been child minding a range of age groups for a few years now and really enjoy welcoming other people's children into my care. I have looked after babies and seen these babies through all their stages from sitting to crawling and walking; weaning and toilet training and starting nursery and school.
My Qualifications
I completed the SVQ3 Childcare, Learning and Development in 2013 and am working towards the BA in Childhood Practice. I also have first aid training, outdoor play training, infection control, food hygiene, child protection and a Higher in behaviour management. I have attended an autism training course at Elmwood College.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £7.50 per hour
Please contact me for confirmation as my fee varies dependant upon the number of hours and the number of children that care is required for. Fees include snacks, drinks and outings.

Lorna is an absolute gem – a real salt-of-the-earth mother with lots of experience. From the moment we met her, my daughter loved her, and its not very common for my girl to take to someone so quickly. Lorna has warmth and natural instinct that makes a truly great childminder.
She provides such a loving and engaging environment, and my daughter absolutely adores her. It’s such a relief knowing my little one is in such good hands. I couldn’t recommend Lorna highly enough – she’s simply brilliant!

Lorna has been an absolute life-saver for us!! My two boys have loved going to Lorna’s and she has helped us out so much. Fantastic communication, friendly and supportive. My other half broke their leg a few months ago & Lorna went above & beyond to help us out as they would normally do drop-offs/pick-ups etc and couldn’t do them. Can’t recommend Lorna highly enough, definitely get in touch if you need any childcare in the Cupar area!

Sarah thank you for your kind words and wonderful review.
Lorna looked after my wee girl so well over the summer holidays. There were always stories of outdoor fun times and exciting games when I picked her up each day. I would recommend Lorna to anybody looking for a childminder near Cupar.
