About Me

Hello!

My name is G and I am an OFSTED registered nanny with nearly 9 years experience as a sole charge nanny, and a further 5 years experience of working with children in a nursery/school setting.

As an OFSTED nanny I am a qualified childcare professional; having achieved a level 4 childcare qualification from the university of Winchester [2014] This challenged me to look at the way I nanny; learning new things that allow me to better understand the children in my care and to offer activities that better aid the children's development.

I enjoy nannying and find it a rewarding career as I enjoy forming relationships with the children in my care; taking them out and about to groups, trips out and helping them form friendships and encouraging a can do attitude in all that they do.

I am a keen advocate in learning through play and that creativity and outside play should be at the forefront of daily life as it allows a child to learn a vast of skills from literacy, numeracy through to physical skills too.

Whilst my primary focus is on the children; offering a busy and varied week full of activities [a mix of both home and groups/play dates] being involved in scheduling/attending their medical appointments, catering nutritious meals [including early stage weaning] and providing a warm and loving environment; I also believe in supporting the family as a whole. I work with my employers to ensure their lives run smoothly; running errands, arranging appointments, liaising with other household staff/family members.
