About Me
I am very trustworthy, reliable, flexible and a very happy go lucky bubbly person. I am a very confident, chatty person so find I made new friends with nannies and parents very easily which therefore encouraged the children to mix easier. I am very patient, kind, and enjoy being with children of all ages, doing all child related things. Lego, drawing, parks, singing songs etc. I am very mature but young at heart. Single mum of 55 to 2 grown up children. Brought my own children up from the ages of 2 & 8 so have been through all walks of life with them, playgroup, nursery, primary, secondary schools, college and finally work! I would really like to build a relationship with a younger child and their parents and stay with them long term if possible. I am very fit & active. I swim twice a week and I go on walks as much as I can too.
My Experience
I was a nanny to a 5 year old boy at private school. Pick up after school and full days during the holidays. I have built a very good relationship with him and his parents. I also did a morning school run for 2 girls aged 5 in my own car. I was with my last family 2 years which came to an end Sept 16 due to mum having another baby and doing school runs etc herself. I then worked for 4 months temporary for a family with 2 girls aged 4 and 2. All nanny duties also. I have worked with children of all ages the last 17 years as I worked voluntary in a playgroup, lunchtime supervisor/TA in primary school and learning support assistant in a secondary school for 7 years prior to being a nanny. I did one to one with the year 11's doing exams, and I also did an after school maths intervention class to get the pupils levels up ready for exams. I have a large family myself so very used to being around children of all ages. I am currently looking for 2/3 days. Can also do babysitting and be very flexible if need be. I have my own car with full clean driving licence of 30 years. I get along with all the other nannies and parents at both schools really well and built up relationships and trust with many people. I built a lovely relationship with the 5 year old I nannied for. He even came to my house for dinner, instead of at home with his parents :)
My Qualifications
I have GCSE grade B Maths and English.
No other qualifications except excellent experience of working with children in and out of the classroom and one to one experience with children in play group, nursery, primary and secondary school. Attending 1 o clock clubs and toddler groups.
And also raising my own children by myself from when they were aged 8 & 2. Nannying for a 5 year old boy from the age of 3. Also assisting with homework on a daily basis, clubs, play dates. Playing football, taking him to swimming, football and tennis club. Covering mum on emergencies which could mean, dinner, bath and bedtime. Also quite enjoy a little sing a long with the 2 girls when I do my car school run!
