About Me
Dedicated sunny playroom leading onto garden with activities from baby toys through to sand, water, paint, messy play and an excellent selection of books, toys, music, puzzles, dressing up and soft play area.
We offer visits to libraries, farms and parks and home-made food often with special requests from the children. Learning through happy play from 0-5 years for children to become very able and confident. I was born in this area and I provide home from home Ofsted registered childcare, with full day places 8am-6pm, doing all the kinds of activities I did with my own four children. I particularly love storybooks and music and have a good general knowledge to pick up on your child's latest interests. I work with two assistants, this helps us to try to follow to your child's natural routine. I offer a (secure) online photo journal so you know how your child has been.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2009. I looked after the first child I started with for nine years, the next child I added was with me for five years and within this time other children I looked after have had siblings born, together with their recommendations to their friends and neighbours, we look after nine children a day plus siblings, in fact nearly all of our children are from word of mouth recommendations.
I've been registered with Ofsted since 2009, Ofsted 'Good' in 2017 and 2023, Barnet Quality Assured, member of PACEY Childminding Association, Healthy Early Years London Bronze Award 2019, Food Hygiene Rating 5 2024, registered for most Childcare Voucher Schemes, Tax-Free Childcare and the new funded hours Childcare Expansion Scheme for 1, 2 and 3 year olds. I hold membership for Willows Farm and Aldenham Country Park and a full clean driving licence. I am best known for having all I need in my 'magic handbag'. Since the introduction of the Early Years Expansion Scheme, food, outings, the online secure journal subscription and items such as consumables are offered as optional, for which we charge a small flat rate fee.

We have known Ronda for over 5 years now and have used her for both of our daughters from the age of 12 months. Both have been very happy and comfortable there, and it has become like a second home for them. The girls both settled very quickly and I think it was largely down to Ronda's warmth and gentleness. I never once had any doubts that they would be well looked after. Ronda has a real sense of fun but at the same time is very careful and safety conscious. She is calm and unflappable even in the midst of chaos! She trains her assistants well and we've really liked each one we've met.
Her facilities are fantastic and the girls are never bored there- my older daughter is now 6 and still begs to go back and play. There are many activities planned throughout the day and Ronda follows the EYFS, updating parents at regular intervals. She cooks healthy, wholesome meals and uploads photos/feedback on Tapestry for parents to view. Ronda has gone over and above to be flexible and help me out, she is an extremely generous and considerate person.

Ronda came to the rescue when I needed an extra day for my 3yo which his nursery could not accommodate. I knew about her as 2 of my NCT friends had used her & been very happy with her.
Ronda was very accommodating & my son took an instant liking to her, her assistant & the setting. I love that she takes the children out & about & my son seems to love this too.
Any parent knows that its very hard for a child to settle anywhere doing just 1 day a week but my son did straight away & he's not the most outgoing so this is a real testament to Ronda & Alex!
