About Me
Hi my name is Nicki and I am a qualified registered childminder I am married to Owen and we have a 17year old daughter, Abi.
I was previously a store manager for Mothercare and The Disney Store and in September 2015 decided to completely change my career path!
I am a level 2 foster carer for Southampton City
Council and have a long term placement.
I consider myself to be be trustworthy and reliable, fun loving and nurturing, firm but fair.
I like to be outdoors and use the local facilities daily. We are on the doorstep of the beautiful New Forest, a short car ride from the beach and there are several clubs and groups that I have access to.
My aim is to give your child a home from home experience, a place they can relax and play but are encouraged to do the very best they can. I understand that each child is different and unique, that they have different ways and speeds of learning and that they should not be compared with each other.
My Experience
We have been foster carers for over 10 years and we are approved to have children 1 year younger or below than our daughter
I have both normal first aid training and paediatric first aid
I have attended a therapeutic parenting course and work closely with BRS encouraging and nurturing positive behaviour.
