About Me
As an experienced childcare provider I offer a service that is child centered. Your child will be welcomed into a comfortable and friendly family home. They will be given opportunities to engage in activities that will keep them stimulated and allow them to flourish. I will ensure a variety of activities and make full use of the outdoor space in our community and further afield.
I am in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council to provide funded childcare for 3-5 year olds.
As well as childminding I have experience in childcare including looking after children in their own home, working with children in a nursery setting and working with older children in an after school setting.
I have a 17 year old daughter who attended nursery whilst I went back to work full time so I have a real understanding of how it feels to leave your child with someone outside of your normal circle for the first time. I will let you know what our plans are for the day and give you an update when you collect your child. To further reassure you I can send you updates throughout the day if desired.
My Experience
I have been working as a registered childminder for more than 6 years and have had children in my setting ranging from 1 year old to 11 years old.
Before childminding I worked in Admin for more than 20 years but my background is in childcare. I had more than 5 years working in Childcare before taking an admin job.
I have a qualification in Social Services (Children and Young People)
I am fully up to date with my Paediatric First Aid training and Child Protection (Safeguarding) Training.
I also have Open University modules in Child Development.

My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday, 7am - 6pm. I can offer drop off and pick up to Cumbernauld Primary School and St Andrew's Primary School. I may also be able to drop off or pick up from local nurseries.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
Fees are based on sessions. Full day, half day, before and after school. Hourly rates considered depending on requirements.
