About Me

Hi, my name is Ellen and I am 30 years old and I am a very kind, reliable and trustworthy person. I have recently become a mum to a beautiful girl born in March 22. I am looking for a family that is looking for a long term nanny and where Isla and I can become part of the family.
I am a first aid trained nanny with a level 3 in childcare. I have great knowledge of the EYFS and I believe in learning through play.
I absolutely love children and it is an absolute pleasure watching them grow and develop, knowing that I have contributed to their development is an honour.

My Experience

I have 12 years worth of experience in child care, starting my career at a nursery and eventually building my career up to become a full time nanny, a role which I have been enjoying for nearly 8 years now.
I have a level 3 in childcare and I am a qualified first aider.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like me to send you over my references and an up to date CV.

Below is a brief outline of my nanny jobs that I have enjoyed with the top being the most recent.

I have most recently been looking after two girls, a now 12 year old and nearly 9 year old before and after school hours and full time during the holidays The girls had a very busy and unpredictable schedule with clubs and often changing requirements around sports matches and after school activities. I also made sure that they had play dates with friends organised as well as trips to the park after school. With the girls being older it was also important that they had the right balance of play time and also getting their homework done. I also home schooled the youngest girl during the whole of the lockdown overseeing her virtual classes and then helping her complete the work.

I looked after two girls 3 and a half and 15 month old when I started. The girls loved to go to the different playgroups around the areas and have/go to play dates. The mum was very keen that I kept in touch and met up with her NCT friends quite often as the girls had very close friendships with their children. The oldest also went to nursery a couple of days a week. I ensured that I incorporated the little girls sleeps around these meet ups and nursery drop off and pick up.

I had the pleasure of looking after another set of twins who were 2 when I started and their older sister who was 5. Here I carried out all the nanny duties mentioned in my previous jobs. This included taking the oldest child to and picking her up from school/ after school clubs. I also ensured that she had lots of opportunities for play dates after school and during the school holidays as well as taking them all out for day trips. Duties for the twins included taking them to playgroups, arranging play dates, changing their nappies and getting them down for their afternoon nap.

After looking after the boys I started with a 10 month old and nearly 3 year old. The little girl had just turned five and her brother had just turned three when I left. The little boy started nursery so unfortunately they no longer needed a nanny. I loved looking after them and seeing them develop. I built an amazing bond with both them and their parents. The dad frequently would travel abroad on business so I would be flexible to adjust hours depending on the parent’s needs.

My first nanny job was looking after three energetic boys, the oldest was 6 when I left and the youngest twins were just starting school. This meant that my hours would be reduced to just before and after school and that was not enough hours for me as I am looking to work with children all day and build a great bond with them.

Child care is my passion in life and I strive to deliver the best care that I can offer, building strong relationships with both the children and their parents. I absolutely love watching them grow and develop and knowing that I am a part of that is precious.

Thank you for taking the time to view my account and I look forward to hearing from you.

My Qualifications

I am Level 3 qualified in child care, as well as being first aid trained

My Availability

*Looking for a role to start around September 2023 if anyone is planning ahead and would like to chat *

I am very flexible in the days and hours I can work. Ideally I will be looking for a role full or part time hours where my daughter can come along too.
I have a lot of experience caring for multiple children including two sets of twins and I know that I can still offer my best care and be able to fit her into a routine that works for all of us.
Happy to discuss this further so please message me with any questions. I also have lots of references and a CV that I could email over.
