About Me
Hello my name is Kay, I am happily married with two grown up children.
I run a small, friendly, family orientated childcare provision. I work together with two qualified assistants. We provide reliable, quality, Ofsted registered childcare from purpose built premises next to my home, which is situated in a quiet residential area. Access is via the main driveway. All areas within the setting are on one level.
My setting is very well thought out, colourful, informative, warm and welcoming. The playroom is spacious with excellent storage for resources. It is a clean/safe hygienic environment.
The playroom provides an exciting and inviting environment. There is a large secure garden with outside play equipment.
The standards I set for myself are very high; I believe this is reflected strongly in the quality of this provision. This, together with our personal effort makes the outcomes for the children extremely positive.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted Registered Child Care Provider for twenty four years.
I have a purpose built setting next to my home. There is a happy atmosphere within a stimulating environment for all ages. The facilities offered, help babies/toddlers to develop their confidence and social skills.
When children are happy in their environment their self-confidence and sense of self will grow. We ensure that the children's experience here is enjoyable, happy and rewarding.
Our overall approach to learning and development is positive.We follow a simple daily routine. Children learn effectively through routines, here in this setting and in their home lives.
Food - "Eat Better, Start Better" These are exciting recipes which allow us to encourage children to eat well from an early age.
We do an abundance of creative work, singing, music and movement, reading, drawing/writing and colouring; we work with Jolly Phonics. We balance activities out among active play and quiet time, independent explorations and one to one interactions.
Our planned and spontaneous work covers the inside and outside. We are redeveloping the bottom part of garden area presently to offer a more exciting learning environment for the children. Last year we had a large area of the garden landscaped and had Astro Turf laid. This is ideal as we are able to use this area for all our outside play. We will continue the hard work in the outside area.
My Qualifications
My assistants and I hold the level 3 qualification in the Care, Learning and Development of Children.
We also hold mandatory certificates in the following:-
Paediatric First Aid
Food Safety & Hygiene (rated 5 stars by the Food Standard Agency)
Safeguarding Children Level 3 & 2
It is a mandatory requirement that the above certificates are updated every 2 or 3 years. .
Our continued professional development is ongoing. Training can be through e-learning modules on line, or workshops organised through the Stafford Early Years.
These include; Safeguarding, Understanding Schemas, British Values, Delivering EYFS, Prevent, Channel General Awareness, Fire Safety, Gardening with Young Children, Healthy Eating, Oral Hygiene and Food Safety, Outdoor Play, Emotional Development in Young Children,

We are open for business Monday to Friday.
From 6.45 am - 6.30 pm
Times may differ slightly, depending on parents' "wants and needs".

My Fees
Prices upon application.
We offer two packages, with or without food.
We accept Voucher payment and Tax Free Childcare payments via the Government.
We offer Think2 through Staffordshire County Council.
We offer 15 or 30 hours subsidised childcare. This is available the term after your child’s 3rd birthday.
