About Me

We are an OFSTED registered childminding setting working with an assistant providing a successful childminding service to families and children based in the thornes area of Wakefield.

We have over 30 years of experience working with children in early years, having being a reception class teacher in a school as well as nursery nursing qualifications.
We are the Owners/managers of Park View Childminding. We live in the Thornes area of Wakefield, with access to all of our amenities such as Thornes park, Wakefield one library and Museum, The Hepworth gallery, toddler groups and a soft play centre, as well as the beautiful rural walks around pugneys water park. We are a team of a qualified nursery nurse with experience of working as a nanny and in school. We have 3 grown up children and i am OFSTED registered. I am situated area very close to The Thornes road area of Thornes.

I have training in paediatric first aid and my food hygiene certificate as well as training in food allergens and training in the safeguarding of children.

Availability- We are a highly sought after early years setting and have very limited places available, however we do operate a waiting list which you can request to join.

Our ethos is that children learn through play, in a happy and caring home from home environment where they are nurtured and supported, to enable them to develop to their fullest potential. We provide lots of outings and attend lots of groups to provide the children with a vast range of opportunities to experience the world around them, and allow them to socialise with their peers.
We work in close partnership with parents and carers to get to know your child, and We record each childs development and progress as an individual child and this information will be shared with parents and carers at regular intervals, in our child development reviews. The reviews are a chance for us to chat and talk about your child and their care, as well as their progress. We are a friendly and approachable professional couple, with your childs best interests always at heart, and We always welcome working in partneship with you to provide the best care for your child.

We provide fantastic food menus and balanced nutrition with home cooked meals.

we have limited space in our fun and caring setting from August 2017 onwards.

We are approved Local Authority providers of funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year old children and we also offer the 30 hours funding subject to eligability and space.

My OFSTED registration certificate and DBS certificate are available to view when you visit us.
