About Me
Hi my names Sam, I'm an Ofsted registered childminder and proud owner of The Den Childcare based in Lower Wortley.
I live with my husband Ian and our two children, how are 8 and 4 (Autistic non verbal). We live in a lovely end terrace, with a spacious and secure garden, very close to the local park and schools.
Here at The Den, I have created a safe home from home environment where children are free to explore and learn through play. As an Ofsted registered childminder, I will monitor and plan activities around your child's development using the EYFS Framework. I will work with your family to ensure that your child have the best care possible that is tailored to their individual needs.

Sam has provided after school and holiday childcare (often at short notice) to my two children aged 10 and 12. Her home is inviting and a safe space for children of all ages. She is great with both kids and provides endless activities to keep entertained and busy. They always enjoy their time with Sam and the other children and look forward to going.

Looks after my little girl. We think she's brilliant. My little girl loves it there. Sam goes above and beyond couldn't ask for a better childminder

Robyn has been coming to Sam for a while now and she’s always so happy to go and see Sam and ply with her all day. She provides nice healthy meals for Robyn and always tells me what she’s eaten. She is so helpful and try’s to be as flexible as possible. Robyn showed signs of potty training and Sam did everything she could to help providing a potty area for Robyn showing Robyn a dolly with its own potty and giving her lots of encouragement. So glad we came to Sam, Robyn is so happy and settled couldn’t have asked for a better childminder! Xxx

I had my contract cancelled with immediate effect, and was requested to leave work and come get my upset child ASAP! I am now left with no childcare for my daughter and we are both in full time work, I have never experienced anything like this poor poor service would highly not recommend! and I am now left trying to find childcare at the last minute. Terrible. If I could put 0 stars I would.
