My Experience

I have over 10 years of experience working with children, specifically infants and young children. Ranging from one-to-one infant care, teaching assistant in a SEND setting, children’s entertainment centres, nurseries, and private childcare.

My first job working for the Walt Disney Company gave me the valuable experience of working with families and young children in a professional setting whilst developing my customer service skills. Later working as a children’s party host advanced my passion and enjoyment of working with large groups of children.

Teaching English as a foreign language, whilst living in Vietnam, was a challenging and invaluable experience that taught me key skills in educating large groups of children whilst navigating communication barriers.

Alongside working in these specific roles, I have also worked as a private nanny for any families. This responsibility and experience of being the sole carer for children sparked a love for one-to-one childminding. Using my skills and rapport with children I thrive in early-year settings, tutoring, and education-based learning.

Over the last five years I have worked as a teaching assistant in a SEN setting. This has provided me with a deep understanding of executive function difficulties, neuro divergence and child development. Supporting the teacher in classes with children aged 8-12 with a variety of social, emotional and educational needs has allowed me to build upon my skills in patience, empathy and communication. My most recent position was Lead Special needs practitioner.

I am passionate about child led learning, trauma informed practice and working with a kind and empathetic approach. Advocating for the voice and agency of young people is something I am incredibly passionate about, and I action this by encouraging inclusivity and nurture in my practice.

Safeguarding Children qualification Level 3 (2023)
First Aid trained
Understanding Autism Level 2
Full clean UK manual driving license

My Availability

I am currently looking for work for July 2024 . And the summer holidays. I am currently available for all types of work, including long stay care like over night and weekend care, if needed. I have my own vehicle so this allows me to be pretty flexible in my working hours. I am currently available form 6am-10pm for nannying and 5pm-2am for babysitting.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)

I am sensitive to the fact that we are currently living in difficult economic circumstances and am flexible when discussing my fees, in a reasonable manner. I do however believe my age, experience, and professional approach to my work equates to requiring a living wage. My rate is £12 an hour. This will be dependant on responsibilities and number of children. Please feel free to openly discuss this with me, I am happy to find a balance that works for us all.
