My Summary
About Me
Hello everyone :)
My name is Danielle Evans aka Dani the Nanny and I am 39 years old. I have been a professional Nanny since January 2017. I grew up in Chingford and I lived in Dartford for 5 years. I live with my partner, our lovely daughter Emma and our playful cat Biscuit in Gravesend. I have my own car, and I am happy to travel for work.
I have worked in childcare for 20 years and this has been my passion since I left school. After I finished school, I then went on to college and got my level 3 in childcare.
I am a very warm, caring and reliable person. I have always been very passionate about my career and love setting up stimulating activities to help children develop and grow, especially when it involves outdoor play.
I am a very energetic person, I love getting creative, singing nursery rhymes and doing lots of dancing.
My hobbies include swimming, taking walks and I love spending time with my friends and family.
Over the last 10 years I have also done babysitting and overnight stays for a number of families. They were all very pleased with my knowledge and skills and are happy to give me references.
I have been Ofsted registered since January 2017, this means I can accept and be paid through Tax Free Childcare. I got inspected in February 2023 and inspection was compliant.
I have up to date paediatric First Aid certificate and DBS, which you can find on the update service.
I have worked in nurseries for over 13 years and in January 2017, I took on a new role and became a Nanny for two lovely families and I have loved being a Nanny ever since!
I went on maternity leave in January 2023 for a year and have been very lucky to bring my daughter along to work with me from January 2024. I love being able to share my love for nannying with my little girl. We enjoy playgroups, soft play, exploring the outdoors and going to the library together.
We attend sing and splash weekly at the Walnuts in Orpington. When I was on maternity leave, we did baby massage classes and baby yoga classes. It was brilliant to learn a couple of new skills.
I went back to working as a Nanny (part time) in January 2024 and I have been very lucky to have my little one come along with me.
At the moment, I work on a Monday and a Tuesday for two separate families. I also do ad hoc work for the rest of the week. Both of my families will be expecting another baby in the summer and the will no longer require me to take care of their little ones.
from August 2025, we will be looking to join another family part time. Please keep reading and get in touch, if you're in need of a Nanny just like me and are happy for Emma to come along to play too. :)
My Experience
BUSY BEES DAY NURSERY
NURSERY NURSE
December 2004- April 2010
I worked as a Nursery Nurse and gained experience working with children aged 2-3 years old at Busy Bees Chingford.
ROOM MANAGER
April 2010- July 2016
In April 2010 I got promoted to a Room Manager to look after children under 18 months in the baby room. My responsibilities included learning about babies' milk times, sleep times and learning all about the weaning guide. I managed two other girls in the room to make sure all policies, planning and procedures were all up to date. During my time at Busy Bees I have gained great knowledge and understanding of the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' and 'The Characteristics of Effective Learning.'
While working with this age group, I was able to gain experience working with a child with Down syndrome. To support this child, I attended 'Inclusion in the Early Years' training. I also attended Speech and Language Therapy meetings to discuss ideas and activities to further the child's development and I was able to learn Makaton signs to do with the child.
DIMPLES DAY NURSERY
TEAM LEADER
July 2016- October 2016
I joined Dimples after my house move from Chingford to Dartford. I managed 3 other girls and looked after a 1-2 years old room. I worked with the EYFS framework by observing children and planning activities around their interest.
I left Dimples Day Nursery to gain experience in becoming a full time, Nanny.
BUSY BEES DAY NURSERY
NURSERY PRACTITIONER
October 2016- February 2017
In October 2016, I went back to Busy Bees in Chingford as a relief member of staff. The reason for this was because my Nanny job role was not going to be starting an till January 2017. While being back at Busy Bees, I worked with the all different aged groups and even got to gain experience working with the preschool children. Going back to Busy Bees also meant I was able to learn how to use the new 'I connect' smart tablet. All the children's information and observations were put on to this device.
NANNY SHARE ROLE
March 2017- December 2017
In January 2017, I took on a new role to become a part time Nanny and looked after one lovely little girl named Summer. In March 2017, I also took on a cute little boy named Oliver. The children I looked after were 1 years of age. Oliver lived near me in Dartford, I picked him up in the mornings and took him over to Swanley, where Summer and her family lived. This happened only on a Monday and Tuesday. On a Wednesday to Thursday I only had Oliver and on a Friday I only had Summer.
This had honestly been such a good experience for me and I absolutely loved this role with all my heart.
When I had both Children, I would set up Summer's house with toys and activities on different mats to stimulate them throughout the day. I would set up a cosy corner for the books, a small world mat, so i could encourage them to help me build a track and cars or a track with trains. They would also have puzzles and electronic toys set out on the day. In the garden they had a sand tray with tools and moulds. They really enjoyed going in Summer's play house, I always have bikes, chalking and balls set up in the garden. In the Summer we always did different water play activities. We always enjoyed doing musical movement together, inside and outside. We love to do messy play for example, they used sticking items and I encouraged them to use paint brushes to spread the child safe glue and to stick the items on to the kites. Once the kites were dry, I took them out to fly the kites on a windy day.
All three of us together, would really enjoy attending stay and play sessions, going to the park and we would absolutely love going to different music groups.
The days when I only had one child, we also attended music groups, stay and play sessions, toddler time and enjoyed exploring parks and soft plays in all the different areas.
Looking after Summer and Oliver over that year, I feel I really watched them develop and grow. I was able to teach them baby signing, counting, they were able to learn how to socialise and share with one another and I helped them progress with their speech and language development.
Sadly in December 2017, I lost Summer because she started at a nursery setting at the age of turning two.
SOLE CHARGE ROLE AND EMERGENCY CHILDCARE
January 2018- June 2018
I looked after Ollie at his house, we continued to attend playgroups, music groups, stay and play, soft play and enjoyed spending our time at the parks. During this time Oliver's family were happy to let me offer emergency childcare to other families, while looking after Oliver at the same time in their new house in Sidcup. I looked after a sweet school girl named Esperanza and a lovely school boy named Oscar during the school holidays. Esperanza's and Oscar's families were very happy with my care and still use me for the odd days in the school holidays.
NANNY SHARE ROLE
July 2018- December 2021
In July 2018 another lovely family found me and asked me to become their nanny. I then started to work for two families and started doing a nanny share role again. I looked after a very cute little girl named Ffion along side Oliver. I looked after Ffion and Oliver at Ffion's house in Orpington on a Monday and a Friday. On a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I look after only Oliver at his home in Sidcup.
Together we enjoyed attending play groups, soft play, Boppin tots, Mini Montessori, Library and stay and play sessions. I also took them to gymnastics and trampolining. We absolutely loved being outdoors, we go to the park, we visit the forest to find bugs and muddy puddles to jump in. We have been on trips to the farm and they loved looking, feeding and talking about all the animals.
On a Monday we attended 'The Great Outdoors' in Swanley park and when it is Summer time we have the best time, having fun in the splash parks and building sand castles in the sand pit.
When we are at home, we enjoyed doing lots of reading, cooking, making cakes, biscuits, sandwiches, and pizzas. We also loved doing creative activities.
NANNY SHARE ROLE
January 2020 - December 2021
In September 2019, I was very sad to see Oliver leave me as he moved on to School and a childminders. In January 2020, I worked for another amazing family who had a little girl called Ruby who lived in Chislehurst and was 1 years old. I did a nanny share role on a Monday and a Tuesday, then sole charge on the rest of week.
Ffion started Pre- School, so I would do pick up and drop offs. We spent a lot of time, doing activities at home due to Covid. We would make cakes, Chopping fruit and veg, making sandwiches. We loved making a farm yard with the Duplo, dressing up as Elsa and making different shapes with playdough.
We always spent a lot of time in the garden, where we would make up games, play races and have picnics in the Summer.
In April 2021, I had the pleasure of getting to look after Ffion's brother Charlie who was 1 years old. We enjoyed taking adventures to the park and was able to get back to doing all the activities that we loved such as soft play and play groups. Ffion went to school in September 2021, I did the drop offs and pickups. When Charlie would be sleeping, I would help with their washing. Clare (Mum) would make a food planner each week, so I knew what food I would be preparing or cooking for that day.
In December 2021, I had to decide and choose one family to work for as Ruby had a little sister called Darcey, who turned 1 and needed looking after. It was a very upsetting and hard decision for me. I decided to work for Holly and Ollie as they were able to offer more hours.
SOLE CHARGE ROLE
January 2022- December 2022
Last year I was looking after Ruby who was 3 and Darcey who was 1. We were the perfect trio! We we were always out and about, making everyday an adventure. We loved Gymnastics and trampolines. The girls progressed in really well at the classes in Dartford. We spent our time at the parks, soft play, play groups, the farm and Boppin tots.
We would always be busy with arts and crafts, doing puzzles, playing with babies and dressing up, while singing and dancing to Frozen.
In the Summer, we would be at the splash parks or playing sports day in the garden.
We also enjoyed making playdough, pizzas and fairy cakes.
I worked seven till seven, three days a week, so got to do bath time and bedtime routine with this family.
I miss the children that I have cared for dearly, but I have always been very lucky to stay in touch with all my families and some of them still use me for baby sitting and extra ad hoc work.
I've also had experience in over night says.
MATERNITY LEAVE
January 2023- December 2023
I spent the year being a new Mummy to my little girl, Emma. I got to bring the love of nannying and share it with my daughter. We have explored playgroups, soft plays, we go swimming lessons and enjoyed making new Mummy and Baby friends. I got to learn a couple of new skills by attending Baby massage and Baby yoga classes, when she was small.
NANNY SHARE ROLE WITH OWN CHILD
January 2024- Present
In January, I took on a new Nanny role and the family have been happy for me to bring Emma along. Emma and Matylda are both two years old. Matylda has settled with us very quickly and the girls play together well, they really are best friends! I look after Matylda at her house every Tuesday while both her Mummies go to work.
We are always very busy on a Tuesday, we enjoy getting out to attend a variety of groups where the girls can learn through play and socialise with other children. We burn of energy at the park and soft play where the girls have been developing climbing skills. We will be adding Gymnastics and trips to the farm over the next coming Months. We often visit the library and sometimes they have story time there. We absolutely love getting messy and have done Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas related arts and crafts. Last October, we did Pumpkin Picking. The girls got covered in mud and had the best time choosing Pumpkins to take home. When we got them back, we cleaned them up and used lots of different coloured paint pens to decorate our Pumpkins. Matylda and Emma have a lovely bond and enjoy doing activities together to develop their learning skills.
We manage to stick to a meal and sleep routine around our busy day. Matylda’s kitchen is separate to where the children play in the living room. Hayley and Magda leave Matylda’s lunch in the fridge for me to help with not having the children in the kitchen for too long.
When I’m at Matylda’s house, I write in a dairy about how much she has eaten, nappies, sleep and what we have been doing that day. I will also note down if Matylda has had an accident while being in my care. I like to take photos and videos of what Matylda has been doing throughout the day to show her development progress. I send these through to the parents every few weeks.
Matylda’s family are now expecting another baby in June 2025 and can no longer keep me on from August 2025. Emma and I will miss Matylda dearly, but we will look forward to keeping in touch with them.
September 2024 – Present
In September, a new family found me on childcare.co.uk. They only need full day care every Monday and ad hoc on a Friday morning, which suits me and Emma very well. We travel to Bella’s home in Bromley. When we get there, I set up aged appropriate activities for the girls. We spend time doing puzzles which have been teaching the girls to recognise, numbers, shapes and letters. They enjoy making ice cream and tea in the role play area. We make ducks, rockets and towers using the Duplo bricks, this encourages the girls to name colours and been helping them to learn how to count.
At snack time, the girls have it in their highchair and they each choose a story for me to read, they are good at answering questions about the stories. Once the girls have finished snack, we go and spend time outside in the garden. We love doing outside activities such as painting the fence with water and drawing with chalk. When it’s warm, we do fill and pouring with water and sand play.
In the winter we poured lots of water on to the mud to make muddy puddles for us to jump in with our wellies on. The girls love playing on the swing and slides, we do ball games, running games and have lots of fun playing hide and seek.
When we come in from the garden the girls watch the television while I prepare, and they have their lunch. The girls then have a nap, and I clean, tidy and write up Bella’s daily dairy. We don’t have every long in the afternoon, before we leave to go home. We usually love having story time and doing arts and crafts, especially painting and drawing.
Bella’s family are now expecting another baby in June 2025 and can no longer keep me on from June 2025. Emma and I will miss Bella dearly, but we will look forward to keeping in touch with them.
All my families have loved everything that I have done or do with the children and for them. They are also happy to give me references.

Danielle is absolutely an excellent babysitter/nanny, I could not imagine a better one. She has been looking after my son for the last year during school breaks, and Oscar loves her and always looks forward to spend time with her. She is providing a perfect child care, she is making sure that every day is a fun day full of different type of activities. I highly recommend her.

Danielle (or Dan Dan as she is affectionately known by our daughter) has been our nanny for nearly a year. We are delighted with how she has cared for our now nearly 2 year old daughter and supported her development.
It never ceases to amaze me the things Ffion learns with Danielle - from counting and singing to caring and sharing with Ollie, whose family we currently nanny share with, although this will sadly be coming to an end in September. Danielle has also helped Ffion build her confidence in new situations and with new people.
It is wonderful to see Ffion blossom with Danielle, but most importantly is how happy she is with Danielle. Ffion can barely contain her excitement when she sees Dan Dan arrive and we return home to a very content little girl. Danielle clearly cares a lot for Ollie and Ffion, which means we can go to work without any concerns and felling a little less guilty!
Danielle keeps a daily diary for us so we know what Ffion has been up to each day - which is always varied - as well as a development folder. This is something Danielle chooses to do as part of her very professional service and demonstrates her absolute dedication to her job and the children.
I’d be very happy to answer any other questions from anyone considering using Danielle for their Nanny and sincerely hope we can find another family to share her with - as well as find a new friend for Ffion!

Danielle's first visit to our home was a sign of things to come. Our children took to her immediately and she was very open, friendly, and willing to go over and above what was required. She gave us so much peace of mind entrusting our daughter to her care and after just a week with Danielle, our daughter was in tears when she had to go back to school. Danielle was always on time and made sure the days were packed with fun filled activities and lots of treats at no extra cost. In a nutshell, we will definitely be calling on Danielle for help again and our daughter is already counting down to when she'll see her again!

Danielle has been looking after our son for 7 months now and we couldn't be happier with her. She is a very positive, happy person, always with a smile on her face, plenty of energy and lots of creativity. She puts a huge effort into making sure that our son has a fun day every day by taking him to the park, playgroups or softplay centers. Even when they play around the house they sing and dance all day and we come home to a happy, content child.
She is a true professional who we fully trust to know what to do in any situation, reliable and caring. Our son eats and naps better with her than he does with us and he really loves her.
We couldn't recommend her more. She is the absolute perfect nanny!

Danielle is a very lovely person. Both my daughter and I have been blessed to have her for a short term. I'd recommend her 100%
She is more than just a nanny or babysitter, a mothers help may be a better way of expressing her dedication to what she does and do so well!
