About Me
Hi, my name is Lisa Nicholson. I am a fully qualified, registered and insured childminder. I have been childminding for 12 years. I have had two Ofsted inspections and am thrilled to receive the highest grade awarded of ‘Outstanding' in all areas.
I live with my husband Phil and our 2 boys, Jake 17 and Lewis 15. The children I care for are welcomed into our home as part of our family and we provide a home from home environment for the children to flourish. We have a tropical fish tank children love to help feed and care for them and a small cockapoo called Willow, who is wonderful and gentle with the children and the children totally adore her!

We live in a 4 bedroom detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac in Ancells farm, Fleet. The children are free to use all the rooms downstairs including a big playroom with lots of exciting toys and a lovely garden with lots of ride on toys etc.
We go to various activity groups, music classes, parks, soft play, small animal farms and many other fun outings.
I provide fresh home cooked meals to provide a healthy balanced and tasty diet for the children.

My Experience
I have over 23 years of childcare experience which includes:
• Long term nanny for three families, whose children were aged between 1 and 12 years old.
• Senior team leader for children in a therapeutic home for abused children, many displaying behavioral issues.
• Residential Social Worker at a centre for children with learning and/or behavioral difficulties.
• A nursery teacher in charge of a class of 3-4 year olds and two other staff members, in a long day care nursery.
• A special needs assistant for children with severe learning difficulties, aged 2-19 years, some of whom had behavioral problems. Some children had specific care needs such as feeding tubes, or
severe epilepsy where I would be required to administer medication. This role developed many new skills as I had to learn to cope with sometimes violent and unpredictable behaviour.
My Qualifications
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home Based Childcare all Units "A Grade"
• I have a Safeguarding qualification which I update yearly.
• I have completed Paediatric first aid training which I update every 3 years.
• I am an EYE provider.
• I have completed my EYE provider training and webinars on: EYE headcount training, the seven areas of learning, Ofsted registration visit and the common inspection framework.
• Speech and language therapy training.
• Makaton sign language trained.
I attend regular training courses to keep me current and to help with my personal development.
My Availability
I have availability for 2 early years children to start from August/September as I have two children heading to school.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
I accept childcare vouchers and 30 hours free funding. I charge £7.00 an hour including all meals and outings.
