I encourage the children to have lots of fun, laughter and adventure while they learn and develop so they feel confident and comfortable while they are with me and they have the opportunity to make lots of happy memories ready for when they leave to go onto pre-school.

Being a Childminder, I offer more of a one-on-one service unlike nurseries. I have a lovely little group and from experience notice the majority of new children show some signs of settling in after the first couple of weeks. During the first month in particular I like to work with parents discussing how your child is settling in so that parent’s mind is put at ease but also making sure the little group remains a happy setting.
My Experience
Having children of my own I understand what it is like to have to juggle childcare with work.
I follow the EYFS throughout my working day. I like to make new starters feel happy, comfortable and relaxed and so I ask parents to complete a "this is me" form stating their child's interests, dislikes, comfort items etc. I also provide parents with a copy of an early years document so that they can highlight what stage of development their child has already reached to help me with my planning and observations.
Here are some of the other activities I provide - dressing up, free play both inside and outside, role-play, nursery rhymes DVD / dancing and singing, Joe Wickes workouts, learning time i.e. colours, shapes, counting / numbers, walking, craft, flash cards, chalkboard, pavement chalk, feeding the ducks, reading / one on one reading talking about what we can see / story-time, puzzles, jigsaws, trampoline, outdoor cars, scooters, playhouse, swing/slide. I work from the back of my house and it has been set up as a child friendly safe secured area.
It is important to me to work in partnership with parents - as part of my safeguarding, handover is from the locked back gate and is kept to a minimum so that I can supervise the other children here with me. I message parents with daily updates using WhatsApp and also send photographs of children taking part in various activities.

Our little boy has been with Tina since he was 11months. He's been there 6 months now and ever since the first day I've been at ease leaving him with her. Her house has so much for the children to do inside and outside and everyday they go out and do different activities, they have so much fun and Tina trys to make everything educational at the same time. He's always so happy to be there and he has never had a boring day with her. She's so great with all the children, our boy loves Tina and I honestly wouldn't want to leave him with anybody else!

Thank you for your lovely review. James is a wonderful little boy and pleasure to childmind x
I was super nervous to leave my 9 month old to return back to work and i visited a few childminders before tina and just felt on edge and not right! From the moment i walked into the house i knew this was the one! Tina was lovely, put me at ease and very organised. Any questions asked was answered fully and was so easy to settle Holly in, she took to tina instantly! Lovely planned activities around hollys development in a lovely clean home and play room! Only reason for leaving was because we relocated and I wish I could of packed tina to! We will miss you lots! Thank you for being amazing and a fantastic childminder x
Some people would say they are lost without their phone – I would be completely lost without Tina!
As a first time parent and single mom, I was wary about leaving my son with ‘strangers’ but after the initial period of letting go I realised that I had made the right decision.
Tina and her family share an environment with my son that is full of fun, love and learning - simply the perfect place to be, a home away from home.
Tina’s home is always welcoming, clean, well organised and nothing is ever too much trouble - I feel really lucky to have found her.
My son has truly blossomed during his time with her and the boys - he certainly doesn’t have much time to get bored with all the exciting daily activities, having fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care.
I really feel as if I’ve found a childminder who I consider to be one of the family and I’m also honoured to call Tina a friend!

Thank you, Zach is like one of the family xx
I sent my 3 year old to Tina , and i can honestly say she was brilliant with him. My son still now asks to go there but the only reason he stopped was due to changes i made to my own work. I would definitely use Tina again.
Tina provides a home from home for my ten month old son. Tina takes him lots of places to experience New things and also provides a stimulating and safe environment within her home.
I would recommend Tina to anyone due to her high standard of care, flexibility and knowledge.
