My Summary
About Me
Qualified Early Years and Primary School Teacher offering private tutoring and home education support.
I’m a passionate and experienced private tutor based in Bexleyheath. With a focus on personalised learning and fostering a love for education, I am dedicated to supporting children in their academic journey.
With a background in early years education and extensive experience in forest schools, I bring a unique and holistic approach to tutoring. I believe that education is not limited to classroom walls, and I strive to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences that go beyond textbooks.
My tutoring sessions are tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests. Whether it’s phonics, maths, English, or other subjects, I provide one-to-one classes that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. I also offer small group sessions for families, their friends, and relatives, providing a flexible option for homeschooling groups or families who prefer to share tutoring sessions within their own network.
If your child is struggling with their learning or you believe they could benefit from some extra tuition, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to unlock your child’s full potential and foster a lifelong love for learning.
My main focus is to empower children, helping them grow in confidence and believe in themselves. I understand that selecting the right tutor for your child is a crucial decision, and I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive.
I understand your little ones are the most precious thing in the world to you, and hiring a nanny or tutor is a big decision. With that in mind, please get in touch to discuss needs and get to know me.
I'm a member of the Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) and Tactyc

Rhys has been providing part time childcare for my eldest daughter since November 2014 when she was 2 years and 4 months.
We have found Rhys to be a godsend; he is incredibly punctual, reliable and flexible. His deep understanding of child psychology has helped us overcome several problems including extreme shyness and anxiety in our daughter which culminated in a stutter. He has also been instrumental in helping us prepare for the arrival of her baby sister in June 2016.
Rhys has spent a lot of time helping develop her confidence. He has also taught her how to write her name as well as phonics so she is well prepared for starting reception in September 2016.
One of the things I most admire about Rhys is his ability to connect with children. He is extremely kind but firm with them and has an amazing way of communicating with them. He never raises his voice or belittles anyone yet the children always do as he asks and never disobey him!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rhys and will continue using him for both my daughters in the future.
I have 3 daughters aged 4,7 and 9. Rhys has worked with my children in various childcare settings since 2011. Initially Rhys was key worker within a nursery setting but my daughters all adore him and he has worked for me privately over the last couple of years, nannying on an ad hoc basis, mainly in school holidays.
Rhys is reliable and punctual and has never let me down. He has impeccable time keeping skills.
Rhys has a lovely rappour with the children and cares for their needs. Rhys is clearly interested in the development of the whole child and still reads around the subject
Rhys has taken the girls on various outings in order to entertain such as Hall Place, Danson Park, Swanley Park and swimming at Crook Log.
Rhys was my daughters nursery assistant when she was ten months old.
My daughter used to have severe exczema and used to scream terribly when her cream was applied and Rhys helped us to find a way around this.
There is a lot of negative stereo typing towards male nursery assistance and I am ashamed to admit I felt the same until I met Rhys but he soon showed me what a wonderful, kind and thoughtful man he was who truelly showed he cared for my child.
My daughter is now 8 and I have an 8 week old and 17 month old who I would love for Rhys to watch for me but sadly we live too far away.
Anyone who has Rhys as a nanny for their children would be extremely lucky, I couldn't ask for better care for my child.
