My Experience

I have carried out multiple babysitting jobs for family and friends and also through agencies with an age range of newborn to 9 years. So far with a maximum of 6 children at a time.

For my GCSE's I carried out a work experience placement at a nursery and was in charge of carrying out basic duties. Also had to take part in a child study which I did with a 3 month old baby boy for a year where I studied his development.

Throughout my college course I attended four placements in a nursery, day nurseries and a school setting with age ranges from 9 months to 5 years. At each placement I worked for 6 months for two days a week in which I became a part of the team and carried out roles and responsibilities of a practitioner. I gained vital and useful experience which has made me more confident within my profession.

I then went on to work in a day nursery from my previous placement as I was offered a job in a 0-15 month old baby room where I carried out the role of in charge Level 3 for 6 months when I was then offered the supervisor role where I then worked for another 6 months.

I went on to leave the nursery in order to attend Norland college where I have now finished studying after completing my degree. I have extensive experience from Norland with all age ranges in various settings.

Since finishing my studies at Norland College I have now been working as a full time nanny for 4 years. Seeking a new role due to my current family relocating over 60 miles away.
