Hello my name is Sophie, I am fun, energetic and have a love and passion for caring for children. I am reliable and punctual and understand how important the services of a nanny can be to ensure the smooth running and happiness of a family.
I love working with children, helping develop their skills and learning more about them and what they enjoy. I enjoy planning fun activities which engage and entertain whilst developing knowledge and understanding and keeping the children I look after occupied, busy and happy whilst feeling safe and nurtured,
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends, planning days out with family and cleaning. I am currently studying (to become a counsellor.
I am able to start immediately.
I hold a clean driving licence 8 yesrs+ driving experience and DBS available and references available upon request.
My Experience
I have worked closely with two family's within the past four years, I sadly had to leave during the pandemic due to personal reasons.
My tasks included:
- Breakfast preparation
- Preparation of school lunches
- School drop-off (walking distance)
- General light housekeeping
- School collection
- Homework assistance (including sourcing materials for projects)
- Bath time preparations
- Preparation of Healthy Evening meal (children only)
- Bed preparation in time for parents return
- Various after school activities
- Finding new fun activities!
Special needs experience ( SEN)
- In my previous role I worked with a child who had a diagnosis of autism for two years, I provided care for the child and worked with different professionals and attended different interventions during my time with the family such as:
- Speech Therapy
- ABA ( Applied behaviour analysis therapy)
- Activity groups for children with special needs such as trampolining, football and soft play
- School interventions and progress evenings
- Private 1:1 tutoring
I have also volunteered in a secondary school offering students counselling as part of my counselling training.
I have previous experience working in a children's photography studio making sure that the children are safe happy and occupied whilst assisting the parents to ensure a fantastic photographic record of the photo shoot.
