About Me
I am a professional childminder with over 20 years experience living in Clifton Nottingham. I'm a married mother to three children who are now grown up with only one left at home and am now a proud grandparent too, we also have 2 pet cats.
I love my job helping little people learn and enjoy socialising them with other children, I started child minding in 1998 when my youngest was 3 years old and have always enjoyed helping little ones develop. I have cared for many children over the years from small babies, toddlers, infant age, junior age, and even older children. my setting is comfortable and homely yet lively and busy, I have a well stocked toy room full of toys and you name it I can usually find it!
to help children achieve their potential in learning we do a range of activities: singing, reading, colour teaching, counting, helping children recognise their name and so much more. there is a wide range of free play toys available. we also take plenty of trips out including toddler groups, library days, visits to local parks and sometimes further afield during school holidays. I have experience caring for children from various backgrounds, abilities, cultures and ethnic origins and always work with parents in the best interest of their child's needs.

Sandra Bowler Child Minding Reference
I was coming to the end of my maternity leave, with my daughter Rachel, when I started searching for a childminder who would look after her while myself and Rachel’s Father – David would be at work and whilst searching, I stumbled across Sandra where I found her page on a childminding website and I really liked reading through her experience of childminding, along with qualifications and the care of her own children and reading about what they get up to during the day. Me and my husband (Rachel’s dad) decided to go with Sandra for her childminding and the pricing an hour is a great price.
Our daughter was 8 months old when she started with Sandra and she has done really well in looking after her and we know our little bundle of joy was well looked after. She was taken out to the local childrens centre and has enjoyed playing with another girl that Sandra looks after and enjoyed her visit to Santa around Christmas time. Rachel has had good fun with Sandra. Unfortunately, we have had to find another childminder closer to home to make travel, money and petrol easier for us and so we regret to leave Sandra but thank her so much for her service of looking after our daughter and thank her for her friendship also.

I highly recommend Sandra to anyone like me who is looking for a flexible child minder. She is good with kids, available on short notice ( which is always the case with me), kids are not just taking care of but also learn some basic nursery stuff-rhymes, numbers and alphabets!

My little boy started with Sandra in May 2017 when he was 10 months old. I found her through this site after the childminder I had arranged let me down at the last minute a week before returning to work after my maternity, but I honestly couldn’t have found someone better!
She was lovely, so welcoming, accommodating, my little boy took a liking to her straight away, I had no worries in leaving him in her care as she treated him like one of her own. I would drop him off in the morning and he would wave me goodbye as he ran off to play without a worry in the world.
We unfortunately only stayed with Sandra for just over 8 months as I found a job closer to my home in Swadlincote and must admit I am gutted to have left her : (
My little boy is very much going to miss her!

My daughter has been in Sandra's care since Oct 2016 and every time I pick her up she's full of smiles as she's had such a wonderful day. Sandra is easygoing and very likeable and we are very pleased to entrust our daughters care to her. She makes sure she provides a good range of activities both at home and out and about. I would recommend Sandra to anyone looking for child minding services.
