My Summary
About Me
I’m a fun, energetic nanny who loves putting a smile on a child’s face, making them laugh, and listening to their imaginative stories and ideas.
I’m often complimented on my calm, patient, and affectionate approach with children, creating a nurturing environment where they feel safe and valued. Being a nanny allows me to express my creativity and imagination through play, helping children explore and learn in a joyful, engaging way.
As a mum to two boys just 19 months apart who are now in their teens. I bring not only professional experience but also instinctive understanding that comes from living the early years firsthand.
I know the emotional ups and downs, and the magic of seeing little ones grow day by day.
I’ve applied that personal experience to my nanny roles offering calm, confident care, supporting sibling dynamics.
As a proactive and nurturing nanny, I love helping young children explore the world with curiosity and joy.
I believe learning happens everywhere from discovering wildlife at the Wetlands Centre, to wandering through royal palaces at Hampton Court, to getting hands-on at museums to being outdoors in nature at Kew Gardens to visiting farms.
Enjoying the very best parks in London and splashing around at splash pads on sunny summer days.
We also enjoy attending pop-up sensory museums with friends, making the most of engaging, hands-on experiences that stimulate the senses.
And making friends at soft play.
I love London and feel there's plenty on offer for children of all ages turning the city into a playful classroom full of discovery and joy.
I am proactive in planning outings tailored to each child’s age and interests and balance these with structured activities like music, gymnastics, football classes, as well as local playgroups for social development.
There's a brilliant playgroup I take the children to set in a forest school-style environment, where learning and play go hand in hand whatever the weather.
It’s full of endless play activities from coloured water play to support sensory processing, a chance to get messy outside with different textures and paints.
I take great care in keeping parents informed and involved, sharing insights into their child’s progress and experiences.
Every day is an opportunity for discovery, and I’m passionate about creating those magical, meaningful moments.
At home, we get creative with arts and crafts, Play-Doh, and dance parties to music.
The children love role-playing, whether it’s serving pretend ice creams or arranging cuddly toys for a musical performance.
Singing nursery rhymes from our library visits is always a highlight!
Over the past 13 years as a nanny, I’ve made countless memories with each child, as every one is so unique and special. Being with them throughout their day, I make it a priority for them to feel loved and cared for. The sweetest moments are when a child greets me with a big hug in the morning or asks me not to go when I leave, saying they’ll miss me. I truly believe that as a nanny, you become more than just a caregiver—you become part of the family.
My Experience
I have 13 years experience as a nanny, my positions have been long term lasting anywhere between 4-5 years as well as making room to help additional families at the weekends.
June 2023 to April 2025 - Barnes
I helped an American family settle into London, supporting their 4 year old in becoming emotionally ready for school by building his confidence and familiarity with new routines, helped with a bit writing and reading before starting school.
For his younger brother, just 20 months old, I focused on helping him make friends through playdates and local activities.
I also helped with potty training using a patient and encouraging approach to help him feel confident and comfortable with the transition.
Jan 2019 - May 2023
I provided full-time care for a 13-month-old, later welcoming his newborn sister into the family a year into my role. During the challenging times of lockdown, I supported the 2.5-year-old in adjusting to the arrival of his sister, ensuring he remained engaged and entertained while I cared for her. I focused on keeping both children on track with their developmental milestones, including weaning, potty training, and fostering a bond between the siblings.
June 2015 - 2019 Richmond Upon Thames.
I cared for an 18-month-old girl and her 3-year-old brother, providing a fun and nurturing environment both at home and at various playgroups. We spent time engaging in creative play, fostering their social development, and ensuring they had opportunities to interact with other children.
January 2014-2015 Richmond Upon Thames.
I cared for newborn twins throughout the day, along with their 3-year-old sibling. The boy’s first language wasn’t English, so I supported his language development by incorporating play and reading into our daily routine, helping him learn English in a fun and engaging way. As the twins grew older, I attended various playgroups with the 3-year-old, ensuring that the activities were age-appropriate and catered to his developmental needs. I also found suitable settings for the twins as they got older, offering a balance of socialization and learning for all three children.
2013-2014 Richmond Upon Thames
I cared for 5-year-old twins with autism, providing tailored support both at home and in the community.
I helped with their specific needs, ensuring a safe and structured environment. This included assisting with daily routines, supporting their social interactions, and guiding them in navigating their surroundings. I also focused on teaching road safety and environmental awareness, helping them build confidence and understanding in everyday situations.
As a nanny I have also helped for many events/ functions/weddings.
As a holiday nanny, I took sole charge of four children aged 16 months, 2 years, 3 years, and 4 years—caring for them throughout the day and into the evening. I provided engaging activities, ensured their safety, and managed their needs with a calm and organized approach, ensuring they had a fun and memorable holiday experience.
I provided sole charge care for eight children, ranging from 8 months to 3 years old, while the parents hosted a cultural adult-themed party. I successfully kept the children engaged, quiet, and focused, ensuring they were happy and content without needing attention from the parents and avoiding any tears. The parents were impressed with how smoothly everything went and how well I managed the group.
Before becoming a nanny, I gained a wealth of experience in various childcare roles.
I worked as a Children’s Representative at a Sailing Holiday Camp in Minorca, where I organized fun water sports and beach games, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for the children.
I also worked in a nursery, observing children’s needs and development levels, following the EYFS guidelines, and creating tailored activities to enhance their growth.
I regularly provided feedback to parents on their child’s progress.
Additionally, I have cared for children with special educational needs, including those with ASD and ADHD. One of my most rewarding experiences was helping a 4-year-old overcome selective mutism, supporting their development and confidence so they were ready to start school and engage with peers.

Lucy was our nanny for a few years, looking after our son first and then our daughter too. They absolutely adored her and still ask when she is next coming round. She is always calm but lots of fun. She has a natural creativity and came up with fun activities for the kids to do at home and took them on lots of adventures. Highly recommend.

There is no other way to describe Lucy's childcare but as absolutely amazing. Lucy is extremely passionate about her job and you can really tell that she is happy among children with so much love and dedication. She was always doing all sorts of activities from parks to zoos to playgroups, both my kids have developed enormously with Lucy. She has such a lovely, warm nature and fun personality you can easily see why my boys loved her tremendously alongside her sweet gentle caring nature. My boys speech have come on in leaps and bounds I believe this is a credit to her. Lucy also has a very artistic ability to get the boys making creative works of art which is a pleasure to come home to.
l felt completely reassured when I dropped my boys off, she keeps in contact with me as and when I need it throughout the day. I interviewed many nannies in my search for the best and she by far stood out, my boys would always smile with joy and hug her at the beginning of the day not wanting her to go home by the end of the day. I feel grateful that I've met her:)
Thank you Lucy

Lucy was a fantastic choice for us, we couldn't have asked better care for our children. My children were running up to her giving her hugs, even telling me they didn't want her to leave at the end of the day!
She has a lovely gentle way, showing love and affection around children.
She used so much initiative recommending places in the area, she took my two on lots of outings & classes. My boys came home beaming telling me all the fun they had at the park with Lucy.
She's also great at keeping my boys calm and engaged. She played a big part in helping my boys to learn how to read and gave confidence in helping to progress.
I can thoroughly recommend her for the next family, I wish we could have had Lucy for longer but our schedules and hours we needed changed.
