About Me
I am a registered childminder. I am 45 years old and a mum of 4 grown up children. I have been married for 26 years and I live in a town house with my husband, eldest son and youngest daughter.
I am able to provide parking outside my house at an extra cost. I live in close proximity to mile end station, Mile end lesuire centre and Victoria park.
I do take the children on local trips to the library, museums and soft play.
The children have access to a playroom that leads into my kitchen/diner, they also have the living room and back garden.
I have a good sized garden layed with artificial grass, 2 swing and slide sets 1 for toddlers (under 2's) and other is for 3yrs-12yrs. There's a playhouse and the children have access to a planting area where they can grow their own plants and flowers. There are also bikes, prams, water, sand and in the summer they have access to a bouncy castle.
My Experience
I have 25 years experience looking after children. I have only recently been OFSTEAD registered since September 2016 but I have brought up 4 children of my own. I was also given legal guardianship over my neice and nephew and they were in my full care for 11 years. Throughout my adult life I have looked after the children of my friends and family including school pick ups and holidays.

Alison took great care of our baby girl! We were so lucky to have her minding our child. She is really kind and gentle, you can clearly see she loves children, and children love her! Our baby girl was always smiling with her!
Alison has a very nice outdoor space where children can play, it is a real add on!
All in all a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ childminder !
Our daughter started to go to Alison right after the first lockdown in June 2020, when she was about 1.5 years old. We had a terrible experience with a nursery before the lockdowns. As two working parents, we would get calls from the nursery saying that she had 37.7 C temperature and if it was to hit 38C we needed to go and pick her up. We would be like "well, call me if it hits 38C, why you are calling us now?!".
Alison has always made health and safety of the kids a priority and our daughter did not catch illnesses as much as other kids of friends who were going to crowded nurseries or childminders. But she also remained reasonable and would never stress us out like the nursery did.
We are a couple who moved to the UK about 7 years ago with no family or their childcare support in here. Both of our parents are living in another country. Alison has not just been our childminder, she has been our support system. Given a reasonable notice, she would try to accomodate any ad hoc late pick ups. We have even asked her to look after our daughter for a few hours over a weekend so that we could have a date lunch on our wedding anniversary and she said "no problem at all". She is also as flexible and understanding as possible when it comes to start/end times.
Even my daughter thinks that Alison is her grandmother and I think this tells enough about how caring she is.
My daughter has been cared for by Alison for almost 3 years and it is only because she is now of school age that we are leaving.
In the time we have known Alison, our daughter has been well cared for and been treated as one of Alison’s family. My daughter comes home happy with tales of her day with a smile on her face. The bonds she has built not only with Alison, but the other children have meant we have felt reassured when leaving her to go to work, safe in the knowledge she will be having a great day in a safe environment.
Alison has transformed her downstairs into a playroom and her garden is a full on activity centre for the children - swings, trampoline, ride ons and so on. My older children are always asking to go for a play themselves. My daughter comes home stimulated, often with artwork she has created that day.
Alison has always been really flexible when we have needed it. Those last minute extra days I have been asked to work have always been accommodated and it has given us great peace of mind to know we have someone to rely on.
My eldest children had been cared for in a nursery setting so we had some trepidation about changing to a childminder for our daughter, but it truly was the best decision. Alison has treated us all with warmth, our daughter has had time to learn and grow in a home environment with a small number of other children.
I would not hesitate to recommend Alison to you, whenever she is on holiday, my daughter asks after her and to me, that is the highest praise a childminder can get - to know they are missed by the children they care for when the routine is broken.
We were very worried about sending our firstborn daughter to a childminder - we needed the reasurrance ourselves. As a therapist , teacher and a teacher trainer I am aware how important is to provide a safe setting with a supportive and nurturing adult. Alison meets all of the criteria and beyond. She provided us - the parents with a lot of support at the beginning so the adaptation process went really smoothly.
Our daughter is thriving - and a lot of it is because the care she is recieving at Alison’s. Children are given safe and spacious play area, big garden with plenty of outdoor fun. They do a lot of stimulating and varied activities.
Alison makes sure all the kid’s needs are met. She is patient, observant, generous and fair. She makes sure children have plenty of creative and physical activities. She is also adaptable and flexible and is available to do babysitting if need be.
She treats all the kids with equal respect and kindness modelling this to the children she is looking after.
Alison is an amazing loving childminder, everyday i felt so comfortable leaving my boy with her. Harry went to alison when he was a year old and stayed with her till he was 3 and started nursery, harry was alison's first child but even thou there wasnt any reviews i still felt so comfortable with her and so did harry. He grew to love alison like his own nanny and she is now hes god mother. Harry had so much fun everyday and learned so much in the time he spent there. Alison set her house up to accommodate the children and make it have everything a child could want or need. I would 100% recommend alison to look after anyones child.
