About Me
I have been a registered childminder since 18 years. I am NVQ qualified (level 3) in Childcare Learning and Development.
I have look aftered and provided personal care for a diverse range of children including SEN and EAL in my own home.
In addition to this, I am a qualified classroom assistant and have worked in both nursery and primary schools.
I have 4 children of my own that have all moved out as they are now professionals or in full time education.
My Experience
I have worked with a diverse range of children from new born to secondary school age children. I have worked with children with special needs, ADHD, autism and EAL.
I am first aid trained and also a bilingual communicator. I can also speak Urdu, Hindi and Gujarati.
I provide my own food which is inclusive of the hourly rate. My diet consists of healthy snacks and meals which are all freshly home made.
I have a full clean driving license with my own vehicle.

My Availability
I am available both weekdays and weekends and also provide overnight care at an additional cost (upon request).
I provide educational indoor and outdoor activities and have lots of digital games ad toys.
I accept 2, 3 & 4 government funding and also employers vouchers.
I live in central Lancaster, ideal for parents who both drive and use public transport.

Sofia is a really qualified childminder, also really flexible. My son always enjoyed times at hers. She always treats him like her own. I can just recommend her!

Sofia looked after my little one Roma who had never been to anyone before, she was the most loving woman towards roma and always welcomed her with a cuddle. Sofias husband was also involved in Romas care and Roma adored him as much as Sofia. She always came out happy and clean with her hair done :)
The most flexible childminder iv ever come across and also the cheapest!!!

We had recently moved to Lancaster and sofia was the first person I had ever left my then 1yr old boy with. She was amazing with her caring and nurturing attitude. My boy learnt so much from her while he was with her. So flexible and accommodating. I never had to worry about my child while he was with her. They treated him like his own child and I couldn't have been more satisfied with her. Surely going to miss her.

My daughter has been with Sofia since she was just one year old and now she’s nearly three, she’s absolutely loved Sofia and tells me that she likes her and wants to go to Sofia’s all the time! Sofia is very patient and reliable, I can trust her completely that my daughter will be well taken care of whist at work. Also she’s very flexible, because of my work, she can adjust to a change of schedule reasonably, which I don’t think many other Child minders and nurseries can do, that’s one of the reasons I’ve been sending my little one to hers in the past two years. I highly recommend Sofia, she is really good!

Sofia has been looking after my little boy for a while now and he loves his time with her. He's always smiling and well cared for. She has been very helpful to us and flexible when we have needed the extra help. She is always quick to respond to you and gives me updates on how he is getting on. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for childminders in the area.

Sofia started caring for my daughter back in 2018 and I cannot sing her praises enough. Lyla genuinely feels like a part of their family and was always welcomed with open arms and treated as one of their own children. I owe huge thanks to Sofia for helping Lyla progress into the clever 4 year old little girl she is today through her attentive and mothering care. I will definitely recommend Sofia to any friends or family members needing excellent childcare - you really are the best! We will miss seeing you and your family every week Sofia, but we'll still see you in the holidays!! 🥰 Thank you so so much for everything over the years xxx

My husband and I work as doctors and we run shifts. Sofia was so helpful with our little boy that we had nothing to worry about while at work. Very professional, warm, motherly and very experienced. Her house was our boy’s second home. She was always willing to help even in emergencies.
It’s so sad we are leaving Sofia and husband because we are moving houses. I will recommend Sofia to anyone in need of child care. You could send me a message if you would want to know more.

Sofia is very kind and loving with our child. She always ensured to fulfil all of our child’s basic and developmental needs. We started taking our first daughter to Sofia since she was 1year and it’s been two years now it’s one of the best decision I have made . Our daughter is so happy there, it’s like her second home. Sofia is very reliable and flexible , she is very understanding. I highly recommend her .
