About Me
As a masters graduate from the university of Hertfordshire I have completed a masters of science in outdoor environmental education with a passion for outdoor learning and nature as an educator , I also have a bachelors degree in education with learning and teaching.
As an open minded individual, I am ambitious and very reliable. I have a very practical approach to problem solving and will always see it through until the end. I am very caring and can work with people from all ethnicities and am eager to learn. I include nature in my everyday life and think children thrive best in the outdoors in a natural calm environment.
My Experience
At the moment I look after a 6 year old boy who was adopted and had a very difficult start in life . Also I worked at Sandridgebury stables from 2012-2016 and look after over 20 horses on a Saturday with two other people, we also teach the children that come down to help how to care for horses.
Whilst studying my undergraduate degree I worked in the horse racing industry whilst working evenings in a pub on the side , now that I have finished my degree and gained a second class honours , I then completed my masters degree in outdoor environmental education, whilst still working alongside my studies
I started my childcare career by working at a small nursery in Wheathampsted, I work in the toddler room and had key children of my own which means I have the care of them the days they are in the nursery and I watched over there progress to communicate back to there parents. After 2 years I then progressed onto working in a primary school in a year 5 class as a teaching assistant , mainly working on a 1:1 basis with 2 students with additional learning needs, I enjoyed working with the whole class and sharing my passion and love for the outdoors which came in very handy on field trips.
I have since followed my love for the outdoor and now work for the environment agency in the flood defence department effectively trying to stop Hertfordshire and North London from flooding due to the heavy rainfall we now have as of climate change.
