About Me
I am a qualified early years practitioner. I have three children two of which are grown up children now. I am also a young grandma with two adorable grandsons. I love working with children and really enjoy my job and offering support to families in need. In having children of my own I understand how difficult accessing reliable childcare can be. I am offering my experience and time to help other families. (Scottish Social Service Council registered, up to date PVG and references can be provided. Babysitting, nanny, light housework, meal prep, meal times, bath times, evenings and weekends including overnights. I am fully COVID 19 vaccinated.
My Experience
Over 24 years childcare setting experience, nanny/babysitter experience. I began support for via this site for a family in 2017 and still continue to support this family. I have been there for families who travelled for weddings, and require ad hoc babysitting leading to the big day. I’m also open to one off babysitting. I do prefer to meet with families before hand although sometimes this may not be possible it’s purely to make sure your child/children feel safe a comfortable with me . I’m happy to look after up to 7 children, with hourly rate recognition. Please see reviews.

Some daytime hours, Evenings and most Weekends and Can do Holidays when I am booked. I am happy to do bath and bedtime rountines, meal times and light housework. I can do overnights. I am currently PT in a childcare setting, happy to work around these hours to support the families needs.

Fees are negotiable depending on times, age and number of children .

It's with our great pleasure that we’re able to recommend Charmain as a babysitter. From when we first started to communicate, she was both warm and professional. She was great at arranging to initially meet with us to get to know us and our 11-month year old son. Charmain quickly built up a rapport with him and us.
Charmain is reliable as she consistently arrived on time, ready to engage with our child. We had a few last minute times when we needed her, and she was fantastic at communicating her availability. Charmain also helped us on the day of our Wedding, and was with our son for 12 hours. She fitted in perfectly understanding our needs on the day, and taking our son off when he needed some quiet time and a nap. Charmain is kind, compassionate, and intelligent, and we felt happy to leave our son to be cared for in her capable hands.

Fabulous support for mum of three young children. Children felt immediately comfortable with Charmaine. She was well balanced , competent, mature and kind The big task was tending to all all three children plus a young cousin on the day of a family wedding . Made a big day so easy for us all. Thanks so much Charmaine hope you can come again when children came back from Abu Dhabi

We were traveling to Scotland for the wedding and I had to leave my two girls, ages 4 and 1 with Charmain for quite a few hours over several days. The girls LOVED being with her and she planned fun activities with them each day. I truly felt they were well taken care of and loved while I was away. I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to watch their children!

Charmaine has been regularly looking after my children (I have 4 under age 5) and she has established a great relationship with them in a short space of time. she is very capable and responsible and has been left with sole charge of them. she uses her initiative and I would recommend her to anyone.
