About Me
My name is Nikki. I offer a bespoke Ofsted registered childminding service and I’m a Curiosity Approach Accredited setting.
I look to engage and empower children’s imaginations through play and follow their interests to enable them to grow confidently in their surroundings by listening to your child. We love to find authentic resources from local charity shops , family , friends, parents and car boots sales to spark that awe, curiosity and wonder.
We play in mud, paint , water and we go out and about in all weathers. We are weather warriors!
We get muddy , we laugh ,
We are kind to each other, we use kind words.
We are thinkers , we are doers , we are creators.
We take measured risks and have a go.
I’m very fond of the Danish way Hygge ( which I’ve recently become accredited in)
All of my food is home cooked, it’s a passion of mine is to enable children to eat good food. I use a butchers for meat and a very lovely farm shop, I cook lots of variety and we often try new foods from around the world.
I supply clothing - our cheeky childminding hoodies , polo shirts , sun hats , beanies and rain suits, so we are ready for our adventures.

My Experience
Im curiosity Approach Accredited setting
And also gained my Accreditation in Hygge in the early years. I have worked in childcare for 19 years , working as a key worker in a nursery in Hornchuch Essex.
I worked closely with children with special needs and was a nursery key worker.
I now work as a Childminder in my own home for the past 16 years ,
Ive lots of experience working with new born babies and have excellent references, available to view on request.
My Qualifications
Accreditation in the Curiosity Approach and Accreditation in Hygge in the early years.
I have a Diploma in Home-Based Childcare (DHC) at NVQ level 3.
I am currently looking to do more special needs training to further my carer.
I also received the National Child-MInding Association (NCMA) recognition certificate in March 2011 for my work in child- care.
My Availability
2 spaces available September 2026
Unfortunately I only offer full days childcare and a minimum of 2 days.
Please note that I don’t work Fridays.

I have 2 children 9 and 11 and over the last 5 years nikki has looked after my 2 on a ad hoc basis. They have fun when they are at Nikki's lots of activity's to do and yummy home cooked food. Nikki is also very good with my "difficult" child and has given me a lot of support.

When we moved to the area we were very lucky to find Nikki. Our two year old loves it there and quite often dosent want to come home! Nikki provides a home from home environment and has accepted our daughter like one of her own (her own children are fabulous also). She carries out numerous activities and days out with the children. The meals are amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble, she is also always on hand for some help/advice! Will be using Nikki for years to come and cannot recommend her highly enough.

My 3 year old daughter has been with Nikki since she was 6 months old. She absolutely loves Nikki and is always chatting about the fun activities and trips that Nikki organises for her charges. Nikki has not only provided fantastic care for my daughter, she's always accommodating and ready to help out in a crisis - if the trains go wrong and I'm delayed, I know I don't have to panic. I would highly recommend her to others seeking childcare.

Nikki has been a god send since we were fortunate to find her. She loves and cares for our kids tirelessly and provides real home from home support. Our girls have a great old time when in her care, have confidence to be themselves and learn about the world around them, all whilst under her safe and watchful eye. Ps mealtimes are AMAZING!

Nikki looked after my little boy from September 2007 to May 2009 for three full days a week. I cannot praise her enough, my son loved going to her and I feel is now a more confident boy as a result.
In particular he loved Nikki's own children,Nikki's amazing food (to which mine has never compared!) and the fun he always had there. Nikki has the amazing skill of being incredibly down to earth and approachable but the children in her care respect her and learn good habits. In particular great sleeping habits (Nikki helped in getting my little boy in daytime sleep routine) and eating habits (always ate well and not at all fussy for Nikki!). She provides a real home from home.
I gave up working so no longer needed a childminder but she would be my absolute first choice should I need one again in future.

Nikki has been my childminder for 6 years having my son from two and my baby from 6 months. I am always impressed how Nikki gets the boys to try new food and rewards them highly when they do. She has so much patience kindness and understanding. Not just for the children but for me too, Nikki offers lots fun activities and i find it hard sometimes to get them to come home.
Nikki had become a good friend along with being a fantastic Childminder she has made my life easier and settled my conscience no end.
I would highly recommend Nikki ! :-)
