About Me

*Fully Qualified and highly experienced with excellent references ( & up to date DBS and First aid training ) - looking for an extra day or two or as hoc babysitting to fit alongside current Nanny Job.
I am a nanny/nursery nurse who is both qualified and experienced but most importantly kind, caring and reliable. I am capable of adapting quickly to a family’s personal approach to their children’s upbringing, whilst being confident to use my own initiative where needed.
I have a fun, playful personality but also firm where needed and absolutely love being able to do a job I enjoy!
With over 25 years of experience working with children from new born to the teenage years, not to mention being a mother of three myself, there are not many areas of a child’s development that I have not experienced and covered. I have good relationships with all of my previous nanny families, all of whom are more than happy to offer both verbal and written references.

I am currently working two days a week with a lovely family in St Albans.
Looking for an extra day or two to fit alongside my current working days which are Monday and Tuesday as it stands.
Happy to do as hoc work where suitable.

My DBS is updated automatically every year with the online service.

My Experience

A little bit about childcare experience....

I am a married Mother of three children whose ages are 13, 15 and 19years.
I have worked as a Nanny ( including Mother’s help/ nanny housekeeper) with some lovely families over the past 20 plus years. I have four years experience of working in day nursery prior to this including being part of the SLT. A brief outline of some of my nanny jobs follow…

* Nanny/Mother’s help ( part time)- looking after one little boy from the age of 9 months - 2 1/2 years whilst, for the most part, Mum was working from home. Child’s first language is not English, so this is one of the things I have helped to develop. General Nanny duties involved.

* Nanny ( term time only) - working for a family with two girls aged 2 and 4 at start of role. Main duties included getting girls ready for the day, school run for eldest and taking the youngest to play groups etc alongside all general duties. This role was just for one year.

* Nanny ( one full day a week) for a family with three young boys. The eldest was 3 years and then twin boys of 15 months at start of role. General nanny duties including a little housework/ laundry when boys were at school/preschool and preparation of meals. I was with this family for two years until their childcare circumstances changed.

* Nanny/Mother’s help ( 2 full days a week) for two children boy and girl aged 2 years and newborn at start of role. Duties including helping with newborn and all general Nanny duties including a little help with housework when children were sleeping. I was with this family for 2 years and still help out from time to time to this day.

* Nanny/housekeeper ( part time ) I worked with this family for 9 years. The child ( boy) was 4 years old at start of position. Mainly an after school Nanny helping with homework and preparing tea along side general nanny duties. I also did extra hours cleaning and grocery shopping for the family and longer hours during the school holidays.

* Nanny ( Full time) my first Nanny position with two children aged 4 years and 18 months at start of role. I spent four years with this family before leaving to have my first child. All normal nanny duties included.

All of my jobs have finished on happy terms and all previous employers would be more than happy to give a reference.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, if you think you might have a job role that would suit, I would love to hear from you.

Hayley has helped me for a few weeks with some day time care for my 2 little ones, she has been reliable, professional and best of all she is great with the children. My little boy loved playing with her.
I feel that she just fitted in to the family day very easily, she is very likeable and kind with the kids.
I would happily recommend her.
