About Me
Hi my name is Sammy .
I have been working in child care for 13 years, during the Summer of 2017 I became an OFSTED registered child-minder.
I live with my husband Glenn and three children Ryleigh, Ruby, and Erin.
I can offer morning drop off and after school pick-up from the Primrose Lane Primary School, located on Wyndham Park, Yeovil, where we live.

My Experience
I have been a registered child minder since August 2017 but my childcare experiences go back to 2010 where I began working in a pre-school. I also have experience with working with children on the Autistic Spectrum, including my own son Ryleigh who has a diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome. I have also cared for children with ADHD / ADD and Global development delay.

My Availability
My daily hours working hours are 8:00 am until 5:30 pm.
I currently only have spaces available for half terms for both early years and school aged children.

My daughter has been going to Sammy’s for wrap around school childcare for the last few years. From the first moment we went for a look around she made my daughter and I feel welcomed and settled. From these first few moments we were confident that Sammy was the childminder for us.
My daughter loved the crafts and activities that they did before and after school, and on several occasions asked me to stop coming early to collect her as she was having too much fun.
Sammy is a warm, genuinely lovely person who has gone the extra mile for us time and time again. If you could make a blueprint for the perfect childminder, Sammy would be it. Both my daughter and family cannot recommend her highly enough.

Sammy has always gone above and beyond for my daughter, she is kind, empathetic, flexible and above all makes sure all the children in her care are happy and making positive friendships which is the upmost importance to me. Sammy pushes the development of my daughter as well, including fine motor skills, basic reading, numbers, recall and language and safety such as walking out in public by busy roads. After a negative experience with another childminder myself and wife were very anxious and worried about starting over again and simply wanted our daughter to feel safe and secure with her trusted adult, which with Sammy has been the case since the first time we met her. My daughter is always asking to go see “Sammy and the babies” and has such a good time when there. Sammy’s professionalism, her caring nature, the activities and day trips she plans as well as her differentiation and individualised planning and approach with each child is truly incredible. I would recommend Sammy to anyone.

Sammy has been looking after my two boys since my eldest started school. She was happy to accommodate a settling in period for us, which really helped.
The boys always come home happy, saying how much fun they’ve had. They’re always bringing home crafty bits that they’ve helped make, most recently a candle! There is a huge variety of indoor and outdoor toys available for them to play with.
I would definitely recommend Sammy to anybody looking for childcare

It is so hard finding someone you trust to look after your children so I was pleased to meet Sammy at a mums and tots group. There I saw the way she cared for the children and was totally impressed. My son (1 year old) took an instant liking to her and has been totally at ease with her since the first time they met. I have never had tears when dropping him off at her home. Her home is always clean and tidy with plenty of toys and activities for the children; My son recently came home with a Father's Day present which was a lovely touch.
Sammy is a lovely lady; she is honest and trustworthy and provides a first class service. I would wholeheartedly recommend her, she is a natural.

I'm so glad we found Sammy when looking for childcare for our son (age 2). Sammy is caring, friendly and makes sure our son is happy and settled every time we drop him off. Sammy provides a large variety of activities both at her home and in the local area, she also has a lovely outside space too for children to use when the weather allows, any activities our son has enjoyed during the day Sammy has been sure not just to tell us not just in person; but also in her daily written reports which has helped us when we are looking for somewhere to take him ourselves. Sammy has also been thoughtful in acknowledging special days like birthdays and holidays, routinely our son will come home with gifts and pictures he has made throughout his time with her. I very much recommend Sammy to anyone looking for childcare.
