The best childminder I could have wished for

My daughter has been with Arlete and her team for over 8 months, since she was 10 months old. I
am so impressed with her development since she has been at Little Stars. She has developed into an
extremely happy and a very confident little girl. This is all down to the hard work, love and
dedication that Arlete and her team provide on a daily basis. She loves to go to Arlete’s and talks
about Arlete and the other children when she is at home. Little Stars are truly wonderful- I have so
much confidence and trust in everything they do and provide for the children. The children are at
the heart of everything Little Stars does.
Arlete spends a lot of time planning a wide range of activities for the children. Arlete looks for
activities that are suitable for all ages of children that she has in her setting and often tailors the
activities to important festivities throughout the calendar year- such as Black History Month or
Chinese New Year. The children are constantly learning and growing. The children are taken to
storytime, music classes, parks, forests and playgrounds and get to enjoy the wonders of nature
throughout the year. They are encouraged to explore, be curious and most importantly be children.
The setting itself is full of educational and fun toys and activities for the children to entertain
themselves with, and Arlete often shares fun activities with the parents so that we can re-create
them at home.
Arlete manages the setting extremely professionally. She keeps the parents informed through the
on-line portal on daily progress of the children, provides a very detailed book for each child of their
development and where they are tracking to the syllabus along with providing art work and
creations for parents to keep. Arlete has managed communications very well throughout a difficult
time with COVID. I have really enjoyed the regular parents evening and feedback sessions that Arlete
provides throughout the year- you really gain an insight into the children’s routine and their
personal progress.
Arlete provides the children with everything they need to be happy, healthy individuals and this is
demonstrated in the kindness and love the children show to each other and to everyone that works
at Little Stars.
I am grateful everyday that my daughter is with Little Stars.

Amazing childminder

Arlete looked after our two boys for three years. She is passionate about her job and her family are as nice as she is. She took our kids to a wide range of activities: vegetable patch, music, dance, football, crafts, museums, zoo, etc. She is always creating new materials and organising new outdoors activities. She really cares about the kids and she is amazing at making them eat a variety of food especially vegetables and salad, and keep them fit (used to walking). She also provided me with great advice about potty training and any doubts I would have related to my kids development since my family don't live in the UK. She hosts parties so parents and kids can gather together and get to know each other better. We are still in contact with her as she looks after my kids occasionally. I am a teacher myself and I visited many childminders and when I met Arlete I knew my kids were going to be in good hands so it happened.
