About Me
We are currently a family of five and expecting twins between December 2023 and January
2024. We are looking for a Trainee or Newly Qualified Nanny to join our family to support us with the care of all the children.
Both parents have been together for over twenty years and married thirteen years. We both grew up in West London, where we still have family and relocated to Norwich, Norfolk in 2013.
Father of the children is a Dentist and mother of the children runs multiple businesses and is currently studying her MBA. We are a family of Indian background, keeping up with our cultures and speak English at home.
Eldest son is 7 years old and attends Norwich Lower School. He is responsible, caring.
and kind. He has won many awards at school for his kindness and manners. He wears spectacles which are often used as a toy by his siblings! He loves to read, and you can often find him immersed in his books or at the library. He also enjoys building Lego and the outdoors.
Second child, is also a boy, and is 3 years old and attends Notre Dame Prep nursery school. He was born during the heights of Covid, has the most amazing eyelashes and beautiful smile. He currently has a lazy eye and due for surgery to correct this within the next year. He is a charmer and like Yohann is very kind and caring. This summer he has been toilet trained and has done very well. He enjoys the train sets, playing hide and seek and currently practising how to use a pen. He also loves tractors and reading books!
Our youngest, is 2 years old and due join middle child at Notre Dame Prep school in September. She is very independent and likes to choose her clothes each morning. She loves food, being creative and the outdoors. She enjoys cuddles and reading books!
All children have limited use of TV/iPad during term time and only available on weekends with
protected time. The children enjoy food, we do not eat red meat but OK with fish and chicken. They are not fussy eaters and will eat what they are given without any tantrums. We encourage them to be outside as much as possible.
We live in a village called Bawburgh, south of Norwich City Centre. It is a five-minute drive to the local Sainsbury’s and Boots and up to fifteen-minute drive to the city centre. Both the children’s schools are in the city and the commute to from home return is approximately 50 minutes. Our home is situated on just under 6 acres of land including a river and mini forest.
We have a large garden which the children enjoy. There is an opportunity for a ‘green fingered’ nanny to establish a vegetable and fruit patch in the greenhouse should they wish! We live in a five bedroom detached house, and we live practically and modestly, we like our luxuries in food and experiences and that is important to us. The rest we live within our means and want the children to learn the ethics of hard work and gratitude. It is therefore essential that the candidate drives.
We would consider a live-in nanny depending on the candidate.
Ideally we are looking for a candidate who can support us from 7am to 7am. The general day would get the three children ready for school, feed them breakfast and then take them to school. They all start at 8am so would need to leave home between 7.30am and 7.40am. After school drop off to return home and look after the twins with whatever they need and preparing dinner for the children. The twins will be born by end of January (this is a high-risk pregnancy) so there will be recovery time for the mother at home to rest after the c-section. At around 4.20.pm the candidate would need to go to collect the children from school, before returning home for food, shower and bed. All children will sleep by 7pm and we have followed the Gina Ford routine.
We aim to have the twins sleep trained by 4months as we did with the others. There will be duties to prepare school bags, homework, snacks, clothes etc for the children. We may require additional hours for evening and weekend work and would plan this in advance.
It is important for us to have someone to join our family to continue with the routine that we have established with the children and someone who has a kind, calming yet firm nature about them. The way we like to work is being open and honest. It is important we have open and clear communication and someone that is reliable We hope that you will consider us and join our family!
My Requirements
We require support on a Tuesday through to Friday in the mornings. would consider additional help with garden, ironing, cleaning, cooking if there is interest.
