My Summary
About Me
**Currently taking bookings for September 2024**
I am an OFSTED registered childminder working with an assistant in the village of Kedington near Haverhill. I have been graded OUTSTANDING by Ofsted.
Our family home is well equipped with toys, books and resources to promote children's well-being and development. We have an outdoor area with a play house, ride ons, slides and hopefully soon a water wall! I work alongside my assistants, Kerry who is fully qualified as an Early Years Educator, paediatric first aid and safeguarding, and Nanny Moira who is trained in paediatric first aid and makaton.
My husband and I have 2 boys aged 10 and 8 who attend Kedington Primary Academy. They are very sociable and excited to be welcoming some new friends into our home.
I have good links with the local school and pre-school and offer drop-off and pick-ups to these.
My Experience
I have been a successful childminder for over 5 years now. I have also previously worked as a Childminding assistant and within a nursery. I have been a breastfeeding peer supporter, working with babies and parents right from birth and upwards.
Our team consists of myself and 2 well-qualified assistants.
I have experience of sensory impairment with a qualification in both British Sign Language and Makaton.
I worked for many years as a care assistant for adults with learning difficulties and with both children and adults with complex mental health needs.
I have (personal and professional) experience with breastfeeding / paced feeding of breast milk as well as formula feeding, cloth nappies and baby wearing.

Victoria's is a home from home! Kerry and Vicky go above and beyond for both parents and children.
My daughter comes with a lot additional needs i.e medications, feeding tube, developmental delays etc but Vicky is great and takes it all in her stride and goes the etc mile to communicate with Daisy's other specialists and has even broken down the national curriculum into smaller steps to assit in her learning aswell as helping with her communication delays through makaton. It is more than i could of asked for or expected from a childcare setting! X
Vicky & Kerry have given absolutely invaluable support to us as a family and have been fantastically flexible to best meet our changing needs. They put so much effort into settling our daughter in at first (which she didn’t make easy!) and have always offered her lots of comfort and reassurance. I love that they are gentle in their approach and facilitated contact napping on the days when it was all my LO would accept. She began with them when she was just over a year old and they were always happy for me to send EBM with her to drink whilst she was there, too. Now, my LO is 2.5 years old and she thrives at Victoria’s Childcare. She has made lots of friends and Vicky & Kerry give the children wonderful opportunities to explore new things and learn. She’s loved messy play, gardening, trips to local parks, soft play and museums, amongst many other things. I also really appreciate the daily photos of what the children have been up to uploaded onto the Baby’s Days app, as well as the learning observations they add from time to time.
Victoria is an amazing childminder. My son really loves her and children just seem to gravitate towards her. She radiates kindness and has a fantastic sense of humor which always helps. I am a first time mum and I was so nervous and super picky about choosing a childminder, but Victoria put me at ease straight away and always updates me about how my, now, almost 2 year old is doing (he has been with the setting since he was 11 months old) Vicky is fantastic at answering my endless questions and always reassures me and is so patient with the children and with parents. I never feel that any of my questions are silly and always get a thorough answer from her. She demonstrates great knowledge about children development and their psychology and as a first time mum I have learned a great deal from her. You can really see and feel that this is not just a job for Victoria, it is a calling. You can not fake that. She is also constanly educateing herself about different children related topics and provides materials to parents. I am so glad that I found her. I would not send my little boy anywhere else.
Victoria’s childminding is such a great childminders, my little boy has been going for 2 years and I wouldn’t change it for the world, he has learnt so much along with enjoying lots of activities with his friends. They are very reasonably priced and so friendly :) I highly recommend x
Victoria has been amazing from putting me at ease when meeting her she looks after our little niece who lives with us who has had quite a traumatic life so far just listened and reassured me and little one felt so at home and comfortable straight away and never wants to leave at pick up time. Vicki is so down to earth and is very patient and I know if I had a worry or needed advice she would be there to help guide me and little lady I could not recommend her highly enough a true gem thank u x
